cut off mid drift?

can go sideways fine but if i spun 360 the engine kept cutting out??

stalling out because of loss of revs sounds like your problem, if you're running fine under normal conditions.

AWD-RWD racer 08-03-06 08:40 AM

thats happened to me before. almost like the car powered down. but i think it was b/c i was feathering it. Ive been able to do all out spin with no problems.

Wilberforce 08-03-06 09:49 AM

ahh i was feathering the throttle so what you do differently?

AWD-RWD racer 08-03-06 10:23 AM

i dont know.....like i said, sometimes it kinda boggs down (mid spin), most of the time it just spins like crazy though. i dont have an exact answer for you, i was just letting you know your not the only person that that has happened to.

2HLNBK 08-03-06 08:31 PM

sounds like you's are holding back put your foot to the floor abit more and you wont have dat problem!!!!...

poss 08-03-06 08:47 PM

Do you have at least 1/2 tank of gas, maybe more? If you are turning left and it cuts out, you are probably running into fuel starvation.

Wilberforce 08-04-06 03:25 AM

will fill the tank and try again,

cheers for the replys

Wilberforce 08-04-06 07:04 AM

full tank problem solved!

cheers

the_saint 08-04-06 08:28 AM

I ran into this problem at autocross.

Left hand turns with less than 1/2-2/3 tank lead to fuel starvation :(

dubulup 08-04-06 08:51 AM

Gotta love 95's

Railgun 08-04-06 09:17 AM

I dunno why someone told me that the 95's weren't good enough. dub, would you be able to confirm that ALL '95 tanks have that issue resolved?

dubulup 08-04-06 10:18 AM

That's a strange thing to say to someone?!?! Not good enough? IMO, the are the best looking ;)

I can only confirm what I've read on here...the 95 tanks have the same P/N as the 96+ tanks; which are the "upgraded" tanks.

Yeah, you don't want to starve fuel like this since it can blow your engine.

Bah....I meant the tanks not being good enough. You know what I meant.

Besides, everyone knows that the '93s are by far the best. :D

That's all I needed to know! I'm sure Ray can hook it up. Thanks!

WaLieN 08-04-06 01:37 PM

Post a price for the 95+ tanks if you do get one.

RotaryEvolution 08-04-06 02:18 PM

fuel starvation = pop!

be careful when playing in the street kids.

dgeesaman 08-04-06 02:33 PM

Fuel tank price

poss 08-04-06 05:22 PM

That one is for a protoge...the RX-7 one is $597 :(

Here

dgeesaman 08-04-06 06:13 PM

Oops I went thru that kinda fast.

Railgun 08-08-06 09:06 AM

Malloy's prices...

95 shipped from Japan - $497.63

Modified (?) 93-94 in stock - $547.50

Did Mazda, after the issues were known, change the design after the fact and sell them as a modified part?

Scrub 08-08-06 04:03 PM

I'm working on a product to fix the fuel starvation issue....I'm hoping to have a prototype out by next month :)

Railgun 08-08-06 10:36 PM

If it's a better price than a new tank, I'm all over it.

KeloidJonesJr. 08-08-06 10:55 PM

Are you talking about a fuel cut? Too many detonation?

Scrub 08-08-06 11:58 PM

It may be about the same price or a little more, considering it will be running an additional pump.
