custom front lower control-replaceable ball joints

How much interest would there be in a set of custom machined front lower control arms that had NEW ball joints...that would be replaceable in the future.

I'm trying to guage the interest and how much people would be willing to pay for this service. I'm looking at whether I should get this service setup for the "masses" or whether i'd just get a set made up for myself.

Lemme be clear i'm not talking about machining a whole new arm...just modifying the stock arm to accept a set of replaceable ball joints.

it is doable with no strength lost in the arm/joint.

The costs are coming out around 300 dollars for a set...does that seem reasonable?

I'd prolly pay that much AFTER it had been done and raced for a season OR driven for a year on someone's car... like 6,000 miles or so. Just to be sure it was less than likely I'd be touching up my paint the hard way

You can get brand new arms through Mazdaspeed Motorsports for just over $300 each. These new arms also have new inner bushings; just bolt on and go.

So cheapest way for new balljoints is to spend over $600. If you can do them for half that then it sounds reasonable to me.

Depending on the ball joints used, that sounds high. If all you're doing is machining off the existing ball joint and welding on a Chris Alston (or other) style socket for replaceable joints. I was considering making all-new CroMo lower control arms with replaceable ball joints and offering them for around that price.
