crank trigger testing

We made a video using my car to show the difference between stock 12+1 and the new Full Function Engineering bolt-on 36-2 kit. Pretty impressive! Excuse my dirty engine...

So this is a modified Rx-8 or Subaru trigger wheel?

FullFunctionEng Apr 4, 2011 02:42 PM

The above setup is using a custom 36-2 wheel. Although we do offer an rx-8 style 36 tooth wheel for those with ECU's that will support rx8 triggers.

This is working on a MoTeC?

FullFunctionEng Apr 4, 2011 06:12 PM

Yes, the above is setup on an M400. The kit will work with any MX00 series ECU and the M2R as well. Unfortunately, the M4 does not support a 36 tooth setup though.

I'd get a Motec just to get the cool display.

Ha, I wish I had a sport dash! I only have a mere mini dash. It displays some pretty cool stuff, but not programable like the full size dash :(

Carlos, sorry to keep rubbing it in!

GodSquadMandrake Apr 5, 2011 12:45 PM

That's a pretty impressive difference.

2a+RoN Apr 5, 2011 04:37 PM

^Yes. Especially considering this is with a Motec, which uses three teeth to calculate acceleration rather than two teeth like most aftermarket ECU's. Meaning it should maintain even better accuracy during the rapid deccel/accel better... Makes you wonder what it would be like using the two-tooth method...
