Crank angle sensor too close to timing plate?

1 Attachment(s)
I think my crank angle sensor is way too close to the timing plate. I read the factory service manual and it states clearance should be 1.0 to 2.0mm and I can't even get .900 feeler gauge in between the sensor and the plate. My car has been flooding and I already ruled out the fuel system. I think the Pfc is dumping too much fuel because timing is off. How could I adjust the sensors to get more clearance? Thanks

There isn't any easy way to 'adjust' that clearance. If the pulley stack is put together properly it should be right.

they're supposed to be close like that, as long as they aren't touching you should be ok. the top one is closer than the other.

Thanks for the help guess I was wrong.

They are supposed to be close. If your PFC is dumping fuel all the sudden you have another issue in the setup or the temperature correction map is off.
