Crank angle sensor question

Anyone know how the two crank angle sensors are used by the 94 rx7 computer or PFC? Curious about the specific functions for each of the two separate sensors.

the sensors tell the computer when the crank is in a set position. one sensor for leading timming, the other is for trailing timming
