Cracked Rubber Hoses / Replacements

Hello once again folks! After finally getting back under the hood, I realize the poor condition in which my old, stiff AF rubbber hoses are. Does someone know a reputable source that may sell a nice set of silicone hoses, and whether or not silicone is the right way to go. I want something that's durable and wont crack my TPCV again.

The lag is real?

What hoses are you talking about? There's a lot of damn hoses. I also have no idea what "AF" rubber hoses are, and what a TPCV is.

All coolant hoses, get from Mazda. Vacuum line, replace with silicone. Hoses going to the two blow-off valves, silicone.

A reputable source for silicone hoses is what I'm getting at, someone who's purchased from that said site and would recommend others to it.

I found a three year old thread recommending

Mazda

but there's also

Silicone Vacuum Hose | Silicone Vacuum Tubing | Silicone Couplers - Flex Technologies

except I wouldn't know the dimensions and lengths of a full stock swap.

I get my hose now from boostcontroller.com - get the 3.5mm and 6mm vacuum hose. Thick wall, quality, and reasonably priced.

I've ordered from them multiple times and have used their hose on a number of FD's, it's the way to go.

I went to my local Performance shop, they had a kit for 60$ black/red that covered most of my hoses

I'll give them a look, thank you, Dale! Any recommendation on how much to get?

What size would you recommend for the BOV silicone hoses?

AF is common slang (here in Australia anyways) for "As Fcuk"

In a sentence; "Dats JDM tyte AF, man"

:/

All the smaller hoses (including the BOV hoses) are 3.5mm.

I typically get 20 feet of 3.5mm and 10 feet of 6mm. You will have some extra, but it's good to have some extra.

Sorry, I meant the big hoses (maybe 1" or so) that run from the pipes to the valves then to the intakes. Mine are toasted and broke off like plastic. What should I do for those?

Pull one off and measure it.
I think its either 3/4 or 1"...it will be close to one of those, then you have your answer :)

Many types of hose will be fine for that job. Silicone is not required.

I appreciate all the info, Dale. I went ahead and bought the hiperformancestore.com kit, as it has gotten raved about. They say it's a total amount of about 82 ft, so dishing out the dough was a little easier.

I've already documented this -

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...valve-1060209/

Silicone replacement for the 3/4" or so BOV hoses. Been using them for a while now, work great and hold up great.

Awesome, thanks!
