Doin non Seq, just got to the wiring open doors and stuff, is what I've yellowed in this pic the right actuators to deactivate?

Snook 03-16-04 05:45 AM

dont do it!

spekdah 03-16-04 02:54 PM

Well gee, cheers for that, but a reaseon would be good, are they the wrong ones or what!!

dubulup 03-16-04 02:56 PM

weld the precontrol door shut, and remove the Turbo control door (in the exhaust manifold)

spekdah 03-16-04 03:01 PM

the procedure Im following says to wire the TPC door open, so this should actually stay shut?

NESpeed 03-16-04 03:14 PM

Ya i thought it was open too?

spekdah 03-16-04 03:26 PM

Theoretically shouldnt I be opening the TPC door to ensure that the secondary turbo spools up at the same time as the primamry and not when I hit 4500rpm as in Sequential setup

mad_7tist 03-16-04 08:22 PM

why are you going non seq?

/\ i'm with surge keep the seq if it is working. and if it aint fix it!

spekdah 03-16-04 09:16 PM

well look at it like this, I got people on one side goin "yeah do it do it!!! ' and on the other side ' why are you doing it? what for?....." so I'm thinking ' I dont care !"just someone answer my questions.

BTW. I think Surge mita ment 'dont get rid of the hose'

clayne 03-16-04 09:17 PM

Wire the TURBO CONTROL open and remove it entirely (take off c-clip first).

spekdah 03-16-04 10:55 PM

aaaaaallllllllrighty then.....

I just got back from my 1st poor mans non - sequential mod spin around the block. And I reckon initially i love it!!!
I was having trouble with my 4500rpm transition in sequential, but now it goes straight through and climbs in boost nicely, so my suspisions of it being a TURBO problem rather than an IGNITION problem appear correct

Just one question.....my car now sounds deeper under WOT and heaps louder as well. is that normal??

Man I love the smooth power curve!!!!
