Common FD issues and fixes

Hello
Ive owned my FD for about 2 months now. The forum has been an invaluable tool for me. Since purchasing the car Ive searched the forum to fix almost ALL of my many issues. The search is my best friend....but Ive noticed theres no sticky or FAQ with known issues and their fixes. (at least I havent been able to find a thread that encompasses more than 1 or 2 issues at a time)

1. Is there such a thread that Im just not seeing?
2. Someone should start one

For instance Ive repaired the following

1. clutch switch - fixed the stalling when clutch pressed in on deceleration
2. TPS sensor - fixed rough idle
3. lubed hood and trunk latches -fixed the god aweful squeeking
4. replaced AST to reservoir hose -now have perfect coolant level
5. replaced stock radiator -better cooling
6. cleaned oil pressure sender connection -gauge no longer bounces around
7. car pulling to one side during acceleration - found pinhole leak in rear tire
8. rubbing in hard cornering - worn shock mounts
9. disabling factory alarm - ground hood pin switch
etc...

I know there are a lot more common issues with the car and it would be nice to have a thread to instinctively go to for answers.

Recently i started having issues that lead me to believe my alternator might be going bad. After searching with all possible variations of words and phrases I think Ive determined that I need to add some better grounds.

after searching what seemed an hour I learned this was pretty much a common issue and again would have been nice to just click on a sticky or something and find it in there. Not really complaining since the forums has proven to be an invaluable tool for me....just suggesting something that im sure lots of people would benefit from. Again if theres already a thread or FAQ pardon my newbieness.

thanks
David

Have you read the "Newbies/Others please use search / useful links **updated** " thread?

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/faq-3rd-gen-other-useful-links-68640/

It's not the best title, but there is a ton of info in there. I consider it to be a FAQ / useful links thread. Moderators, why not change the name to "3rd Gen FAQ" ?

silicone spray... OR belt dressing as 13brew says, just work the roof open and closed as you applicate it.
