Cold start question ?...

Hi I Just want to say I have this problem for ages but I never bothered to fix it basically when I start the car from cold start normal and after 5 or 10 sec it die so I have to start the egine again then it's ok,but sometimes before it die I poke the throttle once or twice and it stays on no cut so any idea what that coule be please?

Stock ECU or not?

The PowerFC's stock map is cranky on cold starts, I changed the settings and made it much better. Stock ECU, could be something with the water temp sensor.

I kinda get this with my stock ECU too.

Cold start: 1000rpm steady....(10 seconds in) *cough splutter* engine misfires, RPM dips and roughens to around 500rpm* I put my foot in, bring it smoothly up to 2000rpm, engine happy to fast idle again as long as I keep it on 1000rpm with my foot til water temp reaches just warm. Then comes off fast idle by itself as per usual.

Only does this during cold days. on cold start during warm summery days, I do not get this behaviour?

Hks pro ecu and start fine it die after 10 sec if I poke the throttle stay I mean I don't hold my foot just a lil kick and the engine stay on no problem I didn't try in summer yet .

Hot start yes but cold one not really big deal I just explained how it happen when I start from cold I just want to know what's cause it .

Its just lack of fuel on cold start. No way to fix it with your current ECU but you can check fuel related things like fuel pump, fuel filter, etc.

That's make sence now thanks mate,does wastegate burst hose cause a bit of not stable idle and other issues ?

No. Your wastegate does not function at idle.

Get a compression test.
