clutch install question

ok, i ordered a new clutch to be put in. i am picking up an alignment tool from AutoZone. will the tranny have to be dropped in order to install the new clutch?

and yes, i searched and read about 10 posts that said nothing of it

Yes, you'll have to drop the transmission to change the clutch. Get a Factory Service Manual (FSM) (Here for free > http://www.iluvmyrx7.com/ )
Good luck.

You can change the clutch by pulling the engine. Most people drop the tranny unless they are doing something else at the same time. For example: If you needed to replace your oil pan seal, and your clutch was also bad, you might choose to pull the engine and do both at the same time.
