Christmas came early for me this year *pics inside*

after popping my motor in my FD... i've been putting away money for awhile...

finally I have everything I need to Put it back together...

I'm changing everything that Can be possibly changed with the exception of the Eccentric Shaft, Rotors, and the Irons... everything is Brand new OEM mazda parts... it's gonna be a 0km engine when i'm done (as well as a Mild Street port on the intake side using the Judge Ito template)

diegodog 09-01-06 05:28 PM

Sweet!

I also am in need of a motor and going to do it on my own. Who did you buy off of and did you get any good deals?

Where did you get your rotor housings?
Thx

All those OEM stickers, probably cost a small fortune :) Good luck with the rebuild.

RX7 RAGE 09-01-06 05:59 PM

FD Rey 09-01-06 06:14 PM

wow, I've never seen so many OEM wraped Mazda parts sitting in one place ;) Good luck with the build!

Kento 09-01-06 06:36 PM

I'm sure the wife was thrilled to have engine parts strewn across the living room floor...

Mmmm, new housings...:yum:

Good luck with the rebuild.

Thanks for the comments guys,

I got the parts all from Mazda Japan.. not Mazda USA... and had them shipped over... I even got OEM Flying M emblems, rear decal and Spirit R badges heh..

the most expensive parts... were the 2 housings and the Complete Engine Gasket set... they were more than half the cost by themselves

This will be my first re-assembly... Lets hope i Get it right and all this shit doesn't goto a waste... that would really suck..

might not be a bad idea to have someone help you them. That would really blow to assemble it not quite right and have it chew up anything

I agree 100% with you bro...

but the amount i spent I coulda bought a Reman for less and installed it myself...

Except i live in the middle of no where... i'm a one and only Rotary guy...

so it'll just be Me the bruce video and the Mazda Service Manual and a 6 pack to help ease the pain...

BuckyFD3 09-02-06 07:10 AM

Just take your time with it and follow the video step by step, i have just rebuilt mine and I had to take it apart again as something wasnt right the first time. The water o-ring seals didn't seal right so when I done it a second time I torqued the tension bolts to 40ft/lb and all is good now.

RE-Amemiya 09-02-06 07:59 AM

Bump...so i can find this at home later (stupid work filters)

Monsterbox 09-02-06 03:00 PM

how long do you think it would take a beginner w/ the video and manual to do the full rebuild with all of his genuine parts and of course proper sealing tools

Well...how long would it normally take you to build the worlds greatest sandwich, with doritos? Hmmm?

Section8 09-02-06 04:00 PM

Wow. Cool shit. Good luck with the rebuild.

David Hayes 09-02-06 10:57 PM
