Somebody can explain me how I can set up this central locking?

those are for conventianal rod door locks. FD uses a wire cable.

What are you try'n to do?

I had a set of those i used once as an automatic door opener once :)

they can be used but would be a big pain

Fragen fur dich: warum brauchtest du dieses zentraller... umm... word for locking? (end of attempt to bust out rusty German!) Does your passenger side door not unlock when you unlock the driver's side door? It is supposed to, at least on the USA cars.

Like spurvo said, you probably have a power lock on the passenger side. Are you adding keyless entry as well?

I believe NewbernD posted a pic, long ago, on how to install that style actuator. He attached the actuator's rod to the plastic lock lever itself, parallel to the cable. Several who had attached the actuator rod to the cable itself have broken the cable.

Try a search for this (it's probably in the interior/exterior/audio section), and see what you dig up. If you cannot find it, I'll try to find the pic.

yeah, there is a plastic tab that should hang down (if im remembering this correctly) and you can drill a hole in it and attach the actuator bar which will pull the cable.

the passenger door should already have an automatic one already installed from the factory (at least US ones do).... if it does then you now have 1 EXTRA actuator. put it in the trunk to pop the trunk :wink: ... i have auto doors & trunk on both my 7's

yes, but the original broke in an accident, for that I bought one of the cheap mx5.

morgen! ok i will take some pictures of the doors and trunk when i go home. is this setup for a car alarm?

im not sure i understand what you meant about the mx5 parts you bought... please feel free to respond in german... i have a german roomate who can translate. if it helps i can have him respond in german as well if your english is a little rusty.

OK, ich habe die zentralverriegelung für den MX5 gekauft. Ist nicht für die alarmanlage, nur zentralverriegelung auf beide türen. Ich bitte um die fotos

Here is how I did mine. I had a very similar actuator kit to the one in the pic above. It is very important that you attach it to the plastic piece that the cable attaches to and not the cable itself. I've heard of numerous people who have snapped thier cable by connecting directly to it.

And please no comments about how crappy and pieced together my job looks. I was at my mom's house and wroking with a lack of tools and supplies so I made it work with what I had. I was planning on going back and doing a better job later but it has been two months now and the keyless entry still works flawlessly so I think I just gonna leave it alone until something breaks or comes loose.

Only lack to set up the electronics, can you help me? where are the cables in the car, and which?:confused:

I'm not sure about the ones from germany. But the ones here in the US already have an actuator on the passenger side (which is on the right side of the car over here). So that is why we don't have any pics of the door on the right side. It should be just the same only a mirror image. Also if when you lock your driver's side the passenger side automatically locks then your passenger side already has an actuator and there is no need to install one there.

I can't fine my sheet that tells the wire locations of all of the different wires that you need to splice into to hook up the alarm. I'll try to find it and post it for you.
