Bye Bye FD.

The new owner picked it up today.
I never really listened to the exhaust from the outside, but it sounded really good as he was driving away. :(
Sigh... :wavey:

wow, why'd you decide to sell?

AMRAAM4 Jul 1, 2003 08:25 PM

I feel like a big tool saying this, but that post of yours vudoo is kinda sad and depressing :(

Anyone else ever had something that you just really liked, yet one day you had to getr rid of it? Ya know, like a shirt, or toy, or something simple and materialistic.

artguy Jul 1, 2003 08:27 PM

you sold?

oh man...i tell ya..this town is going to pot...you better not get an suv. lol

ive sold 2 FDs. I hated to see each of them go, but they went to good homes, and the people keep in touch, and send me pics to show how the vehicles have evolved. I now have another( I just cant stay away from these damn cars!)

Herblenny Jul 1, 2003 08:43 PM

damn.. that's sad... I hope I never get to this point.. but it might.. I might have to move in couple of years and I might have to get rid of things.. I don't want to think about it.. its all up in the air.. Damn BUSH for this shitty economy..

vudoodoodoo Jul 1, 2003 09:37 PM

Yeah, sold it to save money. I got tired of driving around Boston. I really SUX.

I was looking into a Civic Si or a Mini Cooper, but I think I'm better off with no car. Save more money that way.

I plan on buying another FD in a few years. When I have a nice place with a big garage.

I'll still hang around the forums and stuff. :D

AbadR1 Jul 1, 2003 09:38 PM

Cool... I have never been to Boston.. but good friend is now working at Havard.. I'm thinking about visiting..

AbadR1 Jul 1, 2003 09:39 PM

Hehe, maybe your flavor might change in a few years. Never know what kind of car is going to pop up.

vudoodoodoo Jul 1, 2003 09:39 PM

I've been talking to the new owner for a while. He's a cool guy. Really into the car.
He already has an AVCR waiting to be installed. New fuel system is on the way.

Sad to see it go... sigh..

fastcarfreak Jul 1, 2003 09:41 PM

please tell me you arent going to get a civic, at least go with the mini.

AbadR1 Jul 1, 2003 09:41 PM

4th gen RX7.
My thoughts exactly, hehe maybe with a 3 rotor and a T78. Man Iam drooling already.

fastcarfreak Jul 1, 2003 09:44 PM

dude i will tell you right now, if they come out with a 4th gen that looks as good, and performs better than my FD, im all over it. i suppose it will be a FE?

AbadR1 Jul 1, 2003 09:47 PM

Definitely, if it looks as good, performs better, and more reliable. I would be on it like white on rice.

Yeah, I was thinking real hard about the Mini. Then I find out that they are hard to come by. All the dealers around here don't really have any in stock. You gotta order it. 2-3 months wait. Booo...

I will take public trans for now. :(

We can only dream...

kyle@insight Jul 1, 2003 09:57 PM

So where's the final pic? :(

Sorry to see her go, it was a nice car.

AbadR1 Jul 1, 2003 10:01 PM

Well if your trying to save, go with something reliable and older. Like Yodas and Hondas are good. Good luck man, I hope do you get another FD, sucks having to get rid of it.

BigIslandSevens Jul 1, 2003 10:58 PM

sad to hear, but on a good note check out the may 2003 issue popular mechanics pg. 86. they have a little write up about the 4th gen. rx7 based on the rx8 platform. will be available as both coupe and convertable. may your wishes come true!! it will probably also use the new renesis engine. hope that makes a few smile! later

vudoodoodoo Jul 2, 2003 07:23 AM

The pics I took with it didn't turn out so good. Here is a pic I took the day before.
