boots problem

Ok I am having secondary boost problems. This is the weird thing

when i start my car totaly cold my secondary will work fine, but after i

have drove it and shut it off and start it back up the when the

secondary should kik in the boost just drops down to 5 psi and stays

there. I have done searches I have also checked the charge rlief valve

the charge control actuator and the turbo control actuator all seem to

be fine. Is this a vacuume problem? I was thinking when i start the

car the hoses are hard and allow for vacuum, but I dont know this is

just a hypothesis. I will be checking the vacuume hoses and solenoids

under the UIM after I get the gasket. Does anyone have any guesses

what this could be according tho my symptoms.

If it works when cold but problamatic after warm-up, then it must be the Turbo Control Soleniod (TCS). Or possibly Wastegate/"Pre-Control" Solenoid failure.

is there any way to test to see if these are working properly.

I've never tested one, but I've seen a few posts that explain the test process. Do a search and I'm sure you'll land a thread with the info you need. Good Luck.

EDIT:
Mahjik must have ESP. He posted the info/thread 2 seconds before I posted mine. THANKS.
