boost senser gas filter ?

Hey guys, i couldn't find anything about this but heres my question. My friend broke the nipple off the filter that goes before the boost senser to filter the gas or whatever it does.

Is it ok to run without that filter? or atleast for like a day or somthing until he gets a new one?
let me know
thanks

I wouldn't do it. Mazda did put it there for a reason. You could damage the sensor running the car without it.

It is a solid element oil filter. Any inline filter will work.

Well i have an extra one that i can let him barrow, but i didn't know if he could run with out it or not.

I figured mazda did put it on there for reason.

Anyone? Know what could happen if you DONT put one on?

Toadman 02-19-04 11:26 AM

You'll plug it up with fuel/oil vapor. It's not cheap to replace wither.

So what do I ask for when I go to Discount? Type of filter will work? I know its a 4mm line

It will work. My car didn't come with one and I ran it for about 1 year before getting one.
