boost question

something i always wondered

On a twin turbo set up, Both turbos boosting lets say 8 psi.
will the overall pressure be 16 psi or 8 psi and double the volume?
sorry for my ingnorance
i always though it was the latter but never really awnsered it.

the turbos feed into one tube... so if you are boosting 8 psi, that is the total boost you are producing (without getting into pressure drop and where your reading the boost ect)
