Unhappy boost problems:

hey people, i am having some problems with my fd . it was boosting great with both sequential twins hitting hard. now all i hear is both turbos spooling but the car is not boosting. if i give the gas pedal a heavy foot (heavy load), my car starts to sputter, the air control valve is making a loud noise, the rpm wont rise and i hear an afterfire from exhaust. if i put it in light load with ease on the gas pedal , the turbos will spool and my rpm will rise with no afterfire and no boost. i have no boost gage and only mods is a apex i n1 exhaust w/ 3 1/2 in piping and no air filter (open).
i had on check valve come loose which i connected but still wont boost. i kind of had this problem before because i had no turbo control actuator, but when i hooked the actuator up it was running cool . but i checked the actuator hoses and they are both ok. i dont have the manual anymore because i have no memory in my computer so im assed out for troubleshooting. i hope someone has had this similar problem before which can help me out. please anyone any troubleshooting tips. thanks all....

Check your flex connectors / couplings between your turbos and your intercooler (they tend to split and dump all your compressed air) Next thing you need to buy and it will be one of the best reliable mods to your rx7 is a boost gauge. That should be a start for you. If the primary is working but not the secondary turbo then it gets a bit complicated. good luck.

If your running a full 3 inch exhaust and no air filter (very stupid) your boosting too much (or were) if your running the stock ECU. Without a boost gauge how are we supposed to help you troubleshoot the problem ?

Your in limp mode, I am fighting this same problem on one of my fds right now.

Check TPS, OMP, Map sensor and it could even be secondary injectors acting up. This is a symptom you will not find a definate answer for on this forum. Hundreds have had this issue over the years and no one really knows what fixes it. I would check the things I mentioned first. It definately isnt a boost leak causting your problem.

Good luck.
