Question Boost leak problem

Ok I'm sure you have heard this one a several times, but I need some help. The 1st turbo is supposed to make 12 psi and second 10psi. My 1st is getting 9psi until about 3,000 rpm then it goes to 10psi, then at the turbo switch, at 4,500rpm, it spikes to 12psi then back down to 10 psi. Is there a stock boost controlller that I can fix or some kind solenoid that may be messed up? Would a aftermarket boost controller fix the problem? I really could use those 2 xtra pounds! Thanks for the help.

It would probably help to know your modifications.

The stock boost pattern is supposed to be 10psi for the first turbo, 8 psi during the transition around 4500rpm and 10psi for the second turbo.

I talked to Rotary Performance out of Garland TX they said 12 on the 1st 10 on the 2nd, but he didn't seem to want to talk on the phone for too long about my problem.

Have you seen this troubleshooting site?

I don't know if it will help your problem, but it would be worth reading.

A stock car will boost about 10 psi on both turbos. It sounds like your boost pattern is fine except for the little spike. Please list all your mods. It also sounds like a previous owner might have messed with the restrictor pills....

Maybe I don't have a problem. Everyone seems to say 10-8-10. Except mines 10-12-10...mmmmm. I may call RP up again and find out what they are talking about. I have HKS Downpipe, HKS Carbon TI catback, apexi super intake and koyo 2" aluminum radiator. Half way saved for a street ported motor. Thanx for the website. Really good troubleshooting site.
