Here it is, kicked back some brewsky and got it done tonight, EXTRA early, so i will finish my write up tomorrow evening and it'll be up absolutely by 8 pm. until then, here's some installed shots and night time backlighting shots for those of you that have asked!!! by the way, [ictures do it no justice, underexposed in the night, it looks killer in person!

Wow man, you have a seriously low mileage 7 ;)

I think you have to import your gas now too. They don't sell liters here. Sorry :(

rx7what 06-14-07 01:53 AM

I wounder if the temp gauge is weighted like the stock one.

WankelPWR 06-14-07 02:20 AM

by the way, does anyone know why my oil warning lamp is always on now, i plug my stock cluster in and it reads normal oil psi, if no one has an answer i think ill find out what the nominal operating range for the oil psi is, find out the corresponding resistance and add a resistor of that value in the circuit and run an aftermarket oil psi gauge, that way i wont have to hear that damn buzzer and have that light always on, and still get my oils gauge.

"Liter cola. Do we sell liter cola here?"

It might have something to do with the fact that you don't have the oil pressure gauge hooked up anymore with the new cluster. You might have to search for your answer.

Looks good...but I still don't think I'd ever get it...

2 things;
1. I like the factory red backlight more.
2. I would never like reading KM's...If they made this in MPH I would consider it. (Same reason I hate bar reading boost gauges as well as water temps in C.) I'm lazy and don't like converting in my head....I'm American danget!

SiKoPaThX 06-14-07 11:48 AM

^I am SHOCKED that you are from Texas!

skir2222 06-14-07 11:50 AM

I love it! I am also considering this mod...

Neo 06-14-07 11:53 AM

It is unique. Without a doubt.

I personally wouldn't get it because I don't have a blue car. :)
I think this gauge cluster will go best with a Montego blue or even a Blue Mica car.

km/h doesn't bother me because I'm in Canada. Everyone should be in metric! :)

I don't like the font they chose nor the needles they used.

I still prefer the stock gauge cluster.

I wouldn't mind getting the 99spec gauge cluster. Have the needle start at the 6 o'clock position. Only thing wrong with that cluster is the speedo. Only goes as high as 180km/h. ;)

Seems like a lot of money to spend on gauges so your dash can look different. I don't personally see why anyone would buy these. I think the red lights look better anyway. My .02 worth.

It's unique and different that's why. I agree it's a lot of money but sure is nice!

JerryD680 06-14-07 04:35 PM

I think it looks awesome.

rebelsoldier1860 06-14-07 05:04 PM

Are you asking a question or making a statement?

Looks awesome, I'm really liking the blue and the metric system :icon_tup:. I like having the clean look of the boost gage in the cluster, just like the 2nd gen TII's, but I don't suppose it's much good if you're running more than 10psi. But now with the temp gage gone I guess you'd still have to go with an aftermarket one outside the cluster somewhere. Anyways looks cool and thanks for the night shots (get some blue led's behind there)

Cgotto6 06-14-07 06:39 PM

Looks good. This is the first time ive seen them in blue. Gotta love that "vertical" tach.

WankelPWR 06-15-07 12:25 AM

Im thinking of replacing the lights in the back of the cluster with super white LED's or maybe a color, someone said something about blue LED's i might do that maybe ill get both and see how they look, since the stock lighting is still pretty dim even with the rheostat turned all the way up.

Narfle 06-15-07 02:43 AM

red even?

TwinJDMSnails 06-15-07 03:58 AM

i like em at night.. not a huge fan of em during the day though

i was thinking about bright white backlighting because i want to get this aftermarket gauge for my oil psi gauge.

Rocky071 06-15-07 04:14 PM

That's soooo nice. For a Canadian who uses those evil "litres" and "km/h", that's an awesome gauge cluster.

killer_queen168 06-16-07 03:48 AM

i've noticed that the rpm gauge reads up tio 10 000. i have a 93' model tht only reads until 9000. why is this? sorry for my ignorance........i'm new here.

RE-Amemiya7 06-16-07 10:16 AM

dam, those are SICK!
