Blown Engine?

Well I live in Cali and temp were pretty hot today. My temp showed around 200-215 F throughtout the day. Anyways i parked for half hour and car hesitated to start..like it always does on hto days. But ocne started worked fine. Then one block from my house when i was on throttle...not too hard i heard a pop. Not a loud pop though. First corner i turned engine lsot a little power then when i turned into my driveway car stalled. Now won't start blown engine? Or some ehat related issue? Thanx in advance

Remove the spark plug wires. Pull the front bottom spark plug and have someone crank it over. Look and listen for even compression pulses. Then replace it and do the same with the rear. How many miles on your engine?

you want to hear pulses of air whooshing out of the spark plug holes, indicating that the rotor face still has compression. You should hear 1/revolution for one rotor or 2/revolution for 2 rotors.

It could be many things like bad coil, short in the harness, crank angle sensor problem, ignition wires, spark plugs fouled. How much boost are you running and what are all of your mods? Were you at full boost when this happened?

Take out one trailing or top plug and crank the engine over while it's out. Basically you'll hear noise. If all of the sounds don't sound the same there's a problem. Then put that spark plug back and take out the trailing in the other housing and repeat. you should hear 3 pulses on each housing in a pattern you'll see when you try it. Have someone crank and stand by the driver fender it's pretty loud.

It makes no since to speculate on something else if the engine has no compression. Do the compression check first before doing anything else. Like we said earlier, just pull the plug and listen. Then get back to us with the results. Diagnose one problem at a time.
