bigger problem??

I have a 93rx, atm. When I am in park(idle) there is a constant sputtering as if the engine is going to stall. It is not bad enough to stall the engine yet(effects the rpms about 200). I have changed the plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, oil change and air filter and it did not make any difference. It does not effect the car while I am driving. Any ideas?

How many miles are on the engine? Do you know the compression or have you had the compression checked lately?

Does it start right up and idle fine when the motor is stone cold, but starts and idles worse when the motor is hot?

Sounds like it could be your motor losing compression. If it is the original motor, that is not really a surprise. If every FD motor lasted ~10 years, we would all be a happy (and wealthier) bunch, lol.

Get the compression checked. You can always keep driving the car until the compression is so low it won't want to easily start. Definitely keep the boost at around 10 psi. I see that you are in Japan......perhaps look into an RE Amemiya engine, so that you can post up the results here on the forum
