automatic to 5 speed

has anyone done this conversion? what parts doi need to complete this job? and is it worth it for an fd im paying 5k for with bad coolant seals.

Well, look at it this way.

Price of car = 5000
New engine with = 3000-4000
Tranny = about 3000

12,000 isn't bd if the rest of the car is nice. I hope your good with a wrench adn good luck.

It can be done. You've got to either have a nice auto or a cheap one, otherwise you might as well buy a 5spd to start.

LOL give me a break... even without an amazing deal its shoudl not cost more than 2K....

Its not a lot of work at all, I could do it in a weekend very easily....
