Anyone see the Hell Rott Red NX RX7 on the cover of Super Street? Over 800hp...

Anybody see it? Owned by Brian Havins with over 800HP with a Thumper Series T88 turbo and a direct port of NX's nitrous system.

Here's the engine specs:

13B rotary motor, custom intake;96-pound injectors(x2), 160-pound injectors(x2);Aeromotive fuel pumpe and regulator;custome NX fuel rail;Accufab 90mm throttle body;Tanabe Super Medallion exhaust;MSD spark plug wires;Headway Performance T88 Thumper turbo; Turbo XS blow-off valve; Turbonetics wastegate; custome intercooler and piping; 3.5-inch downpipe; Fluidyne radiator; NXL direct port nitrous; Microtech engine management.

I just picked up the mag, and that's pretty crazy. The entire interior has been redone in carbon fiber...and I mean everything. It looks totally different....I think it's a much better cover car than the huge orange thing that was on one of the other mags I saw.

Just how much can you HP can you add with nitrous on a single turbo'd 13B-REW? It seems to have been built up by Headway Performance. Anyone heard of these gents?

I'll post pics soon...er..as soon as I get my stupid scanner to work. :(

I saw it, pretty sweet. He went a little wild with the carbon fiber...

Here is the article.

The usual bodykit mods to make the car look like ass.

BTW, they don't even have the car running. The article says it SHOULD make over 800 rwhp to the wheels. Big deal. How about writing the article once the car has actually been tuned and to the dyno.

SPOautos 02-09-04 04:38 PM

Yea, call me when you have a 800rwhp dyno sheet. They still have the stock uim and lim on it lol. THey must be spraying a 200 shot on top of the 30 psi of boost lol

johnisenglish 02-09-04 04:45 PM

Holy crap I thought SpeedKing had photoshopped that guy in, until I went to the website...

...WOW...

And with the interior - you'd think you'd get tired of all that Carbon Fiber after a while?

jdhuegel1 02-09-04 04:48 PM

I've GOTTA get me one of them there TaCHometErS! LMAO

PVerdieck 02-09-04 04:55 PM

It's most likely ALL stock from the flywheel back... I mean... look at it. Looks like he just wants attention if you ask me.. ;)

c00lduke 02-09-04 05:06 PM

is that even possiable with 960cc primaries and 1600cc 2nd?

SkywarpR 02-09-04 05:23 PM

I'd like to know how many REAL 800hp FD's exist in this country

moehler 02-09-04 05:24 PM

all that money into the car and he's got a 15 e-bay strut bar :) ...
I don't think it's possible to put down 800 rwhp with the stock uim and lim... please. Also, 800 rwhp on those wheels... he wont grip until 4th gear!?

Ahhhh.....gauge in the door panel. Thats new to me. haha. Not a fan of it and that doesn't look like any other t88's i have seen, at least made by Greddy.

edit: yea i looked again and it said something about it being a super thumper t88

Jason 02-09-04 05:51 PM

Actually the "thumper" series isn't made by Greddy

vosko 02-09-04 06:14 PM

i think it needs a bigger speedometer and what is going on with the throttle body ?

Sprockett 02-09-04 07:43 PM

I wonder.....30psi??? That seems almost impossible on an FD. I could be way off, but seriously...30psi? that's 2 bar! I mean, for a SHOW CAR it isn't bad...but it won't make 800HP. I wonder if he's on the stock ECU

oppressor666 02-09-04 08:05 PM

Nope I didn't Think so.....Not enough fuel for 800RWHP, He would have to run them at like 120% Cycle duty to squeeze out enough, anyways that is according to the Fuel Calculator on RX7.com.
Besides that the front lip almost looks like it is bent up a little, Hate to see that thing at Triple digit speeds.
Marc

Godzilla-T78 02-09-04 08:11 PM

All I have to say.. if he is making 800hp.. he sure is running some small injectors for the claimed power.. Thats only what.. 5200-5300cc a min? Thats comparable to 2x950cc and 2x1600cc Maybe its me but I dont see that being near enough for that much power and then having enough fuel to keep the mixture rich for his nice direct port.. I think karatee queer boy is where he deserves.. in the famous magizine..Stupid Street..

fastcarfreak 02-09-04 09:04 PM

I believe some nitrous systems have there own fuel lines. I hate the sleek headlights with the 99 spec signals. It just looks wierd if you ask me. Then again, im not really a fan of the sleek headlights anyways. They look out of place.
