Damn I justed noticed this post cause I always look in the group buy section and this wasnt there.

Any chance of me getting in on this at all?

Damn a day late and a dollar short. Anyone else want to get another one started? A quick hitter GB?

I will do the leg work if there is enough interest.

Mike

Manufacturing is ahead of schedule and you guys may be receiving your bars before I am even notified they have been shipped. I'll try to find out more info. Don't forget they are shipped freight collect. Contact me if you need to pay shipping ahead of time.

badaz7 03-24-04 11:31 PM

Well that is a good thing... nice when they are ahead....
If possible try to find out if they take cash or check. and ETA'S for us.... I'm down at #8 so I probably still have a week or 3...... so no biggie... just need to know cash or check.....

You're a Kirk Cage dealer...seriously? I like the idea of a 6-point cage, but would want it welded in. Can't decide between 1.75 or 2 OD. Probably need padding since I still drive the car on the street. Is there a pic of the 6-point installed in an FD?

xchaos 03-25-04 10:30 AM

I suggest the 1.75 OD. I have the 2" and with the padding, it is really thick. Had to do alot of adjusting of the pad to prevent it from rubbing on the roof liner and really annoying me!

yeah I always suggest the 1.75" the 2" is just TOO thick. I am working on a group buy with torque central for some 6 pt's possibly. For a street driven car you might want removable side supports. I am going to call and get some availability info today.

LT1RX7 03-25-04 11:38 AM

Your working with Torquecentral?? That is me!! I didnt realize you were working on anything. Where are you updating on that here or there?

LT1RX7 03-25-04 11:39 AM

Are you 1.3 liters friend?

COsborne 03-25-04 12:33 PM

Yeah, thats me :) I'll post on there. I called about the 6 pt cages with bolt in door bars. Should have pricing on that and foam and stuff for it. I'll sign up some time today and get the info up.

LT1RX7 03-25-04 01:06 PM

Thanks man I appreciate it

badaz7 03-28-04 12:24 AM

eta's

Hey COsborne. anymore ETA's for the others. or exact shipping cost.

Did anyone receive there cage yet???????:D

COsborne 03-28-04 02:10 AM

Nah, no new info. I can call and harass them monday if you'd like :)

johnisenglish 03-28-04 11:15 AM

COsborne, if some of the guys on the group buy that are behind me in the build schedule need there's soon, I don't mind if you push me back. I'm not going to need mine until June at the earliest.

BMike 03-29-04 10:01 AM

If I can get the exact shipping ammount before delivery that'd be good, and what methods of payment are ok, because of losing my job its now being shipped to a friend's work and i dont want him to have to come up with money to pay for my stuff.

All shipping arrangements are being handled by kirk racing. Call 205-608-1156 . No sense in me being a middle man. It just increases the odds of a misunderstanding.

LT1RX7 03-29-04 02:37 PM

Chris and word for us Torquecentral guys??

COsborne 03-29-04 03:44 PM

I've been swamped man. I'm gonna try to get something started before I go on vacation friday. I've signed up for the site and done some research into it. I'm in the same boat as all of you as far as wanting a roll bar but with removable 5th and 6th points. I don't know that they will make it and Im not even completely sure its legal for use at nhra events. I think the reason they want to differentiate between the 4 pt roll bar and 4 pt cage is the mounting points. We'll have to see.

badaz7 03-31-04 02:55 AM

anyone receive yet

has anyone received there bar's yet... gonna call kirk for possible eta...

apexkw 03-31-04 07:17 AM

i talked to her yesterday and she said that the first one would ship next week sometime

WHIPSrx7 03-31-04 09:43 AM

Eek!!! Hopefully the other bars get made pretty quickly because I want mine in by the Revolution. :) Thanks for the update apex,

Craig
