Another ignition problem
Another ignition problem
My #1 Trailing coil is not firing. Are there any other things that this could be other than a bad coil. All the other coils are firing. Trailing on the front rotor is the only one I'm having a problem with. Also, would this cause the engine to flood when I drive? I think I've got bigger problems than just this coil.
trailing on the front rotor?
MAYBE a broken wire or connection on the battery harness to the coils... otherwise i'd say it is that coil.
do a search for coil testing... a voltmeter should sort it out for you ASAP.
i had this problem on my rebuild, turned out to be a connector in the plug... but i lost the leadings... hard to start without those!

i would not use a volt meter to look at the switched ground side from the ignitor/ecu. only a high impedence quality test light.
ohming the coils will find a Super messed up coil, alot of times they spec out but fail when hot/under load
doubtful that the trailing would cause you to flood but it is problem that needs to be fixed.
check the harness
prob just a bad coil. swap with the other one and see if it fires to be 100%
