AC compressor

When i bought my car, the guy had taken out the ac compressor and hoses and put them in a box he gave to me when i bought the car. I can't get any air in the car. No heat, def no ac. Is this right? should i have no air flow to the vents with no ac compressor...or should i still have air flow, just no ac???
thanks

If all he did was remove the compressor and its associated hoses that should not affect the ability of the blower to blow vent air or heater air. It will only make it so that the air is not cooled. Something else is wrong.

If he removed all the other related A/C stuff (venting and such) from under the dash then you would get little to no air flow.
