About to buy a 93fd3s!
 

:confused: Ok, so I posted a thread a couple months ago on the idea of trading my 06 civic si for a 93 fd3s and recived a lot of negative feedback, on the reliability differences among the two and how the rx7 is a ''money pit''. I will be using the rx7 as a daily driver and will eventually purchase a beater car just in case, as half the forume recomended. But I would just like to know from previous and current rx7 owners the pros and cons and the problems that could and will occure just to be ready. Any and all help would be appreciated, thanks soon to be fd owner Kenneth!

all i got to say is that its worth every penny wasting your money on it...

true the FAQ is gonna be ur BFF.

i trolled around the forum for about a year, researching diff models, recalls, common problems...and so on.

And when i came across my little girl 92 FD ("02/92 built date")
i was ready to ask questions about rebuilt, turbos mileage, compression.

and the most important thing....if seller doesnt know the problem and you wanna take the risk, chances you will find what the problem is here. reading and researching.

anyway, long story short, YOUR GONNA LOVE THE HELL OUT OF IT!

read FAQs before you buy and if you decide to go with it prepare to fall in love with the car when you are haulin ass on the expressway. also i would recommend you have another vehicle handy for daily driving, the FD is good to get around in for sure but if you want to save gas money then it should be used sparingly aside from weekends and such.

Buy the fd because this car will be a classic. Exotic looks, smooth body lines, and a powerful rotary motor. I was finally able to buy one last year and it has been my daily grind. I put an extra 7000 miles on it, to an already 105,000 mile car. No a/c, but thats why we have windows, doing 140 on the hwy is enough wind to cool you down. lol. I only thing is make all the reliability mods.,and keep up with the maintaince. Good luck brother and GOD SPEED.
