Question 99 spec oem turn signals

I bought a used set of 99 spec oem turn signals. But the sale did not include light bulb sockets I did see I can buy the wiring harnesses for corksport but they also don't include light bulb sockets. I did try the usdm light bulb sockets and no go. Also did do a search and also no go. Any idea where to buy them or which ones do other forum members use?

I have the same question. I bought the knightsport harness, but don't have bulb sockets either.

Might be easier to just buy the replica 99 spec lights on ebay. I haven't seen any place selling the bulb harness.

I'm going to take a stab in the dark because I'm not near a late model car right now... Are any of these bulb holders candidates?

You can try Automotive Electrical Connector Pigtails, Terminals, Tools and More I've seen Lap Sockets there before.

Can any body confirm that this is what the plugs look like on the original 99 spec turn signal lamps?

very strange...

I had a shop install my 99 bumper on my last FD. gave em that same harness you have pictured, along with the combo lights, and I got it back with working turn signals..

are you *sure* the usdm sockets don't fit....?

This is what mine look like. BTW; I didn't have to buy anything to make everything fit.

Yup I did try just the stock usdm ones and they did not work. To me it looks like I can modify them to fit but I wanted to do this right and get the 99 spec light bulb sockets. If the shop installed yours then all they did was modified the usdm ones to fit the 99 spec lamps.

Can anyone confirm that both usdm and 99 spec turn signal lamps do take the same bulbs? Also I did send rhdjapan an email about the 99 spec light bulb harnesses and they want part numbers. Crazy I know

the op is in need of the sockets not the harness, and I could have swore that I've seen them listed on rhdjapan site before. I think there is an updated mazda parts # file somewhere on the forum?

I thought some of the auto parts stores sold them, take the signals in there and try out the sockets they have, buy bulbs. Do a REAL re pin or splice properly. Just because it's a rarer car doesn't mean EVERY part is impossible to find. Maybe then don't have it. But I'm willing to bet if they do it's cheaper and faster than ordering "overnight parts from japan"

Take 1 of them to an auto parts store... Tell the guy you need sockets for them and he will have a like of crap to try and compare. 20$ later you'll have your sockets

the 99 bulb sockets are

F138-51-064 and F138-51-09X. probably not available in the US, although i wonder if a Protege or MPV of similar vintage would use something similar.

the bulbs are a 904 and that new fangled turn signal one that goes in the holder (its like an 1157 turn signal bulb but with a blade connection instead of the round)

i Know this is old but im in the same boat. Did anyone ever figure out where to get the socket harness from? i notice on my oem light harness its a 3 prong bulb socket. The lights i received with no harness is a 4 prong light socket. can some one take a pic of the ebay depo light socket harness that comes with the lights. I see the one online but i actually need to see where it twists inside of the socket itself.

The Depo lights come with a 3 prong (cutout) bulb socket, meaning the back of the housing has 3 cutout tabs. I have a set at home and just checked them as they are different than the set of housings I completed work on from RX7 Boutique. That set has a 4 prong housing.

The "typical" 1156/1157 socket is a 4 plug/prong unit and you can buy the sockets with pigtail wiring from www.superbrightleds.com. Have 4 of them at home and they are a good quality.
