The car in post #38 is it, right? That looks sweet....the pearl is VERY evident.

mono4lamar 01-27-09 07:00 PM

Does this thread confirm that more than 50% of FD owners are retarded because they thought it was in a museum or in Mazda headquarters?

bajaman 01-27-09 07:37 PM

^ Welll....lump me in that 'retarded' group then...lol! I'd bought in to the whole "it is in Mazda's North American headquarters building" myth.

Silly me, huh?

moconnor 01-27-09 07:47 PM

I was skeptical that the car actually existed.

Does that make me retarded too?

I wonder how it got dumped out on the street?

smog-guy707 01-27-09 08:15 PM

where the hell is this guy at? did he forget his password to login or somethin? we need to see the pics he has, those were from the for sale thread...

I still own the car. Buyer had to back out for personal reasons. I am keeping it.. I was having second thoughts on selling it anyway.. Good for me....woo hoo

Interesting turn of events.

moconnor 02-02-09 07:22 AM

Buyer couldn't get financing I'm guessing?

Supernaut 02-02-09 08:35 AM

Could anyone get financing for a 15 year old car?! Your parents don't count.

Supernaut 02-02-09 10:14 AM

Well these days, I think 2002 is the oldest you can get financing for, or maybe 2004. There is one place that did financing of older cars but site eludes me :(. Its on the forums somewhere.

My credit union will do up to 10 years old but only if the car has less than 100k miles.

Capitol One used to give loans on older cars but apparently do not any longer.

mrb63083 02-02-09 10:22 AM

lucky....

pablo escobar 02-02-09 12:13 PM

he had the money and had given a deposit but something unexpected came up and he had to back out..

neit_jnf 02-02-09 12:17 PM

capital one blank check financed my fd, they didn't even ask the year, just the amount I needed and whether is was a private sale or dealer sale as it changes the interest rate.

Supernaut 02-02-09 01:08 PM

WHAT? I wish I knew about this before.

They don't do these loans any more (and, not coincidentally I'd guess, lost $1.4 billion last quarter).

sooo... did you keep the deposit or give it back? I mean you have a total right to keep it, that's what it's for.

mono4lamar 02-02-09 04:17 PM

I don't believe a word in this thread! The unicorn never existed to the public! We all know the truth... It's still in Mazda's Corporate storage warehouse.

RE369 02-02-09 04:38 PM

Glad you kept it by the way. Just curious, what is the mileage on 94 pearly white FD.

Julian 02-02-09 04:46 PM

Can’t disclosure or don’t want to. If we hold back on prices paid then we are all in dark as to relative values. Did you sign a non-disclosure agreement?

pablo escobar 02-02-09 05:24 PM

yes I kept the deposit. I held the car for 2 weeks and changed the exhaust and some things for him.. mileage is 64k

stevensimon 03-18-14 02:13 PM
