94 Pearly White - 1 of 1 sold to me :)

whooot whooot.

liv4psi 01-26-09 12:57 PM

You might as well tell us what you paid for it. Please, pretty please. There was so much speculation about what it was worht, I am current to what it brought in our current market.

Supernaut 01-26-09 01:09 PM

Good for you man. Im glad someone on the forums got it.
Unfortunately, the car isn't worth alot right now. I imagine it went for 18k - 19k?

Even mazda wasn't interested in purchasing it.

rockshox 01-26-09 01:13 PM

in milpitas huh? maybe i should bring my chaste white over to compare

FD3sAutobot 01-26-09 01:13 PM

Whew, I'm glad someone picked it up. I hope your not going to molest it are you?

moconnor 01-26-09 01:28 PM

Time for a big wing and an eBay intercooler! :)

Good luck with it.

RX7 RAGE 01-26-09 01:39 PM

Supernaut 01-26-09 02:18 PM

If you molest the car, everyone on this forum will come out to get you. It better be kept in a garage.

Smitter 01-26-09 02:42 PM

Supernaut 01-26-09 04:06 PM

The car is real.
Mazda doesnt have it in a garage because they arent interested in the car.

MOBEONER 01-26-09 04:06 PM

This guy only has 4 posts therefore he has not been in the rx7club community for long.I sure hope he know`s what hes doing and not just some kid that just got it because it is rare.

GoodfellaFD3S 01-26-09 04:08 PM

There are many people out there who are a member of the rx7 community who don't post on this board ;)

looked up the vin, per that vin plate it's from the legitimate 94 fd in pearl white. can't post the vin sheet due to privacy of original and current owner etc unless he wishes a copy and posts it himself. But that vin# /plate are legit. congrats on the only pearl white OEM Fd my friend :)

Just noticed that the VIN is interesting: it does not have 'FD3S' in it.

badddrx7 01-26-09 04:33 PM

Bullshit....

That's normal.....they all (at least USDM ones anyway) start with JM1FD and then go from there.

Yup, the Canadian models start JM1FD aswell.

I was sure they all had FD3S for some reason. Just checked mine and it does not either.

GoodfellaFD3S 01-26-09 04:48 PM

Ha, you didn't believe me ;)

The part numbers for the 3rd gen parts usually have the "fd3s" in it do they not?

or at minimum FD

No - I did; I was almost 100% sure that mine did though.

Monkman33 01-26-09 05:07 PM

This car is real. the vin is real. the paint code is real. Its the real deal.

Now... is that sale real? :)

karl0003 01-26-09 05:56 PM

Farkel Jr. 01-26-09 06:20 PM

I have a question though. In the event that the car was crashed/hit how would insurance handle it. It's not like the car can be repainted to spec or anything...I don't think. And would insurance just value it as a regular 94....because that would SUCKKKKKKKK if it were the case.

If you have regular insurance, yes that is what would happen. You can get collector car insurance on our cars though, and if that was the case you could have it insured for the appropriate value.

GoodfellaFD3S 01-26-09 11:12 PM

Damn, I have to admit that that is a SHARP looking FD :icon_tup:

RotaryDreamz 01-26-09 11:48 PM

Saw this FD in person from the previous owner. Stopped by my house to pick up my intakes i was selling. Very nice car indeed!

Which color is better in your opinion pearly white or chaste white?

93rx74lyfe 01-27-09 09:33 AM

:bsflag:

Jaiyurai 01-27-09 01:17 PM

Someone with a Chaste White FD needs to park next to him and shoot pictures. I'm curious if there's much of a difference. I can't tell from pictures.

I would do it, but I'd have my tow my car over there.

TpCpLaYa 01-27-09 04:03 PM

I think that everyone who wants to know what the color really looks like should look at this pic. If you have seen a chaste white you know what it looks like up close. This color is pretty crazy looking...from far it looks white but up close it's like silverish metallic pearl.

https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...2&d=1231306613

that clearly shows the true color

xcoolnessx 01-27-09 04:08 PM

Cannot disclose price. I'll take pictures this weekend. I don't post much on the forums but i've owned 2 Fc's, and 2 Fd's ...this one being my 3rd FD.

7_rocket 01-27-09 04:08 PM

From the picture posted it looks like silver stone metallic.

Since it was listed at $19k for several weeks before selling, $17k is probably a good guess.

I considered buying this myself but the mileage was higher than I'd prefer.

Looking forward to the pictures.

RE369 01-27-09 05:11 PM

What is the mileage?

RotorBliss 01-27-09 05:23 PM

anyone kno if this paint looks like the newer models of mazda called "Whitewater Pearl" i believe the paint code is 25D. i absolutely love that paint....amazing car btw.
