93 FD3S ecu/body plug wiring diagram within!
 

Before i finally started posting here on the forums, I was searching around trying to find some wiring diagrams for the series 6 body plug, and blue ECU connector. I came up with nothing, so spent some hours tracing and drawing diagrams ( i hate wiring!) The majority of threads i found were questions about making the speedo work, and that sort of thing.

These are needed for a standalone ECU install, if wanting to use sections of the factory loom for speed sensor, reverse lights, etc.

Apologies if there IS a thread with these diagrams. Ifnot, hopefully this can assist someone in the future. I also apologise if this should be in the ECU section or other, but i didnt see anywhere that covers all forms of aftermarket ECU.

Here is what i have put together:

FD3S X-05 PLUG - BLUE ECU PLUG (93 S6 JDM)

WL - Cooling fan relays
BG - EGR
Y - 1st Gear
BrB - TPS ground
BL - EGR
BrW - Pressure sensor
BY - +12 Injectors
BrY - Fuel temperature sensor
BW - +12 to solenoids
R - 2nd gear switch
Br - Neutral switch

FD3S RX7 - X-14 CONNECTOR - DASH PLUG (93 S6 JDM)

W - 1st gear switch
BR - Thermo fan switch
LG - Neutral switch
y - Electrical load input


With the aftermarket ECU install that i had in my car, all the factory wiring and ECU was still left in place. It was messy and pointless, so i wanted to remove as muh as i could.

The wires i required from the original wiring are for:
Speedo sensor
Reverse lights
Water temp sender (gauge)
Dash cluster ground.

Nothing from the blue ecu plug was needed in the end for me. ECU controls fans, etc. Ofcourse you could make your own sub-loom from scratch, i just found it easiest to use what i had already.

No worries. If it was possible, it would be great to get a list of the bodyplugs and any other diagrams used to wire in a standalone ecu all in the one place. The forum seems to lack on this info, or im blind!

What's the pressure sensor do you need that with a power fc?

Does it go to the ecu?

Hey James, if I read this right, us the Neutral Safety switch a light green wire in the X-14 connector? I hate tapping away at the tiny keypad on this phone... No WiFi at home now for two weeks.. Using the mobile phone for web browsing sucks.. :(

Unless I'm confused by what you mean by "back", I think the USDM blue connector labels are reversed. ie as labeled above, that would be looking at the front of the connector (looking at the pins side). Other wise it looks good. Just went through this mess on my car to get my Haltech Elite setup properly.

The wiring is different between 93, 94, and 95 variants, not just USDM/JDM. Plus, options such as Bose involve actually different harnesses (rear harness), rather than just a few connections to nothing.

Digging this up cause it's a great thread but, does anyone know where the oil pressure sensor wiring is so the dash doesn't give a low level warning?

Wait, what's the problem, low pressure or low level? Those are 2 different sensors.

Im looking for the color and location of the oil pressure sensor wire. It should be in the engine harness correct? Because it has a spot on the dash for oil pressure.
Going Fuel Tech and trying to find all the wires to keep the dash working correctly.
I have all the trans as far as speed sensors and i have the coolant temp wire. I believe i need oil pressure and oil level and am trying to make sure they're both on the engine harness and not the front harness.

Would have been better off starting a new thread, ECU is incidental to what you're asking and it's not clear what market car you have.

Anyhow, both oil level and pressure go via the engine harness (which is not the one on top of the engine!), front harness and dash instrument harness.

In the market down here, oil level was blue all the way and grey/red for pressure by 95. Oil pressure was that colour on a Japanese harness of the same year....no idea on the level sensor though.
