This is fun... Let me go see if the same exact thread is going into action on the Supra forum:D

I had a 94 FD, it was awesome and I should've never got rid of it... but I did, so I could buy my Supra. I didn't mind too much because I still get to drive my best friend's RX and quite a few others I get the pleasure of working on.

Jim, I think the $10k difference referred to is the used market which was exactly why I bought the FD first and the Supra a year later, I had a 22k budget for each at the time.

The bickering over 0-60 is funny... Who cares, third gear is even more fun to run through! The best thing in 0-60 is the getting it sideways with either one.

I personally love driving both cars, and besides similar stock time comparisons, they drive totally different from eachother.
They were each built to perform in two different classes involving different driving styles and that's exactly what the do

Heh, heh.

Two great cars. I saw a robust bashing of the WRX on this board recently in similar fashion...not saying that it compared to the FD, but about how awful of a car it really was..."all hype" I believe the author stated.

Each car (good car) has it's own set of strengths and weaknesses. The Supra, the FD, and even the WRX are fantastic vehicles.

Hell, speaking of which...skidpad numbers aren't always indicative of handling prowess either.

Did you guys see that the new Mini's slalom time bested every Ferrari, every BMW and almost every Porsche (although I admittedly don't know the frame of reference - sources weren't cited in the article).

My wife gets a Cooper S later this year...I can't wait.
