400 hp Stock

hey guys, i remember a guy on the forums with a FD, with stock ports, and twins that reached 400whp.

I know that 400 whp is a stretched goal but with A ported engine and non-seq twins it is possible.

Anyone have that thread? i searched and couldn't find anything. i know the guy had a white FD.

I know someone with a ported motor and seq. Twinz making around 360+whp. Once he fixes his issues. I can see him around 380..... Close to 400

TurboR1 has done 9 second passes on a stock, unopened motor, 600+rwhp. you can find his videos on youtube.

The most important mod is a generous dyno.

turbodrx7 01-02-10 07:47 AM

Rich(Goodfellafd3s) made somewhere right around 400 on stock twins also....

How much HP can i expect with my stock motor with knightsport twin seqentiel?

other mod and future mod are:

PFC
3'' turbo to bumper
1300cc or 1680cc injector
upgrade rad and intercooler
boost controller
emission removal

I want a safe tuned FD so i think about 360whp

Thank

Eric

Hey Austin,

best I made on stock twins was 370 rwhp on a generous KDR dynojet.

I made a legit 421 rwhp at 17 psi on a dynapack (at Car V2 now/J-tune) with BNR Stage 3 non-seq many years ago, the video is on You Tube.

Trying to make an honest 400 rwhp on stock twins on a street car is silly. Even if it does happen, it won't for very long. Upgrade the turbos are be happy with 350ish :icon_tup:

That pretty well sums it up, from someone who has 'been there - done that'.
I'd take his advice.

I was there that day at CarV2, and thats what i was thinking of. Forgot you had BNR's though.

Excuse the ignorance but what kind of turbo are these guys using? I dont know much about turbo but i am trying to learn before tuesday.

fendamonky 01-02-10 03:04 PM

BNR stage 3 turbo's.

Im making 390-400whp on sequential BNR's and a stock motor. The last dyno sheet I have was in England, on a "heartbreak" (Dyno Dynamics) dyno. I'll have to get my car re-tuned for CA gas once I go back to get it from Virginia. I'll post up my "American" numbers then.

Thanks fendamonkey

The reason I am asking because I am trying to find out as much info on the garrett GT45 and GT42 as possible. On tuesday I am supposed to make an offer on a company that was seized by the government for tax fraud and part of the stock are these garrett turbos. So I am trying to find out if i buy the remnants of this company how hard would it be to get rid of the turbos and ect....

Yeah, but that's also E85 and a 35R :egrin:

I think OP is just talking about stock turbos as the main kicker.
