1st Through 3rd Pull (From Dead Stop)

Okay first, my girlfriends camera wasn't meant to take video footage, I know it's bad haha. I just need some tips, am I shifting too early? Too late? Details about the car in it's current state are in the description.

I don't get this thread.

What rpms are you shifting at? We can't tell.

Good video but I don't get why people use crappy video at night and 10 seconds long lol

You guys are funny. No, I'm not granny shifting just bad video quality. I'm shifting at 7.5k RPMs to try and keep in the effective range of the turbos (or at least where it felt like the effective range was) People say the hardest part of learning an RX7 isn't the mechanical aspect, but learning how to drive one. It's a lightweight RWD with a ton of horsepower, seems true enough. First gear from a dead stop- no traction until 3rd that is why 2nd sounded like it was "granny shifted"

Dyno the car and look at your dyno sheet, that'll tell you were your power band is. Shift accordingly...

^^so then what's the point to the thread?

Seems like you know where to shift because you have an answer for it.

Sorry to sound like a dick but I think this thread is a poor way of promoting a new video you made.

You should just have posted this thread in the audio/visual section. you would have gotten serious replies. Putting it here with no purpose will yield to the responses you just got.

I see. Sorry I'm new here, didn't even know about the "audio/visual" thread, both in this video suck, however. But I guess I have a legitimate question in the poll

lol
TFAF1 was on last night and i got caught watching it while polishing my girlfriends engine parts.

watching it again reminded me of how 'off' from reality that the first movie was.
fun to watch tho. even my girlfriend knew when something didn't make sense in the movie.

Video was underwhelming. You have let your self down and more importantly let us down. Posting nudes of this girlfriend would help though.

This pretty much, never been a fan of the movies myself. I love Initial D though, but that **** makes even less sense.

At least the anime made SOME sense.... the live action movie made even less, but they sure are entertaining. I have all the DVD's of the first and 2nd season through tokyopop, I have the rips of the 3rd stage movie and 4th stage season, but still looking for the physcial copies
