1993 Front Harness Annotated Connector Pictures
5 Attachment(s)
Two weeks ago, I posted asking for this information and I was basically told it didn't exist and to read the electrical manual. Last weekend I took the time to make the images I was looking for. I figured that people, like me, looking to scale down their front harnesses could benefit from actual pictures of the connectors and spatial perspective of where they are located on the harness.
Having this would have saved me hours of work and is a great supplement to use with the electrical manual availible here: http://foxed.ca/foxed/index.php?page=rx7manual#thirdgen Hope it will help you guys out too Attachment 711534 First image just gives you an overview of the harness. Block 1 and 4 are mostly the interior connectors that enter the cabin through the firewall on the drivers side (block 1) and the passenger side (block 4) Attachment 711535 Block (1) A1-03 – Starter Cut Relay F1-01 – Hazard / Flasher Unit X-09 – Connector Between Front & Air Bag X-03 – Ignition Switch X-04 – Combination Switch J4-04 – Theft-Deterrent Control System - Option Switch X-08 – Connector Between Front & Dash X-10 – Connector Between Front & Rear J4-01 - CPU #2 A1-04 - Starter Interlock Switch JB-04 - Drivers Side Joint Box - Front Harness JB-06 - Drivers Side Joint Box - Front Harness X-06 – Connector Between Front & Instrument Panel 0-04 - LF ABS Wheel Speed Sensor B1-09 – Igniter B1-10 – AC Condenser B1-05 - Fuel Pump Resistor Q-04 – Cruise Control Actuator C1-11 – Brake Fluid Level Sensor Attachment 711536 Block (2) X-02 – Relay Fuse Box X-01 – Main Fuse Block X-12 – Connector Between Front & Engine E3-02 – LH Front Turn Signal E1-03 – LH Retractable Headlight Actuator F3-05 – LH Horn E1-06 – LH Headlight E1-11 – Foglight harness E3-04 – LH Front Side Marker Light D1-02 – Washer Motor G-04 – A/C Refrigerant Pressure Switch JC-01 - LH Joint Connector / Ground Attachment 711537 Block (3) B2-02 – Cooling Fan Relay #2 B2-01 – Cooling Fan Relay #1 E3-03 – RH Front Turn Signal B2-03 – Cooling Fan Relay #3 E1-04 – RH Retractable Headlight Actuator B2-04 – Cooling Fan Relay #4 J4-05 - Theft-Deterrent Control System - Hood Switch B2-06 – Cooling Fan Motor #2 B2-05 – Cooling Fan Motor #1 F3-06 – RH Horn JC-02 - RH Joint Connector / Ground E1-07 – RH Headlight E3-05 - RH Front Side Marker Light Attachment 711538 Block (4) B1-01 – ECU #1 X-05 – Connector Between Front & Emission X-07 – Connector Between Front & Dash X-13 – Connector Between Front & Floor 0-03 – ABS Hydraulic Unit 0-05 - RF ABS Wheel Speed Sensor 0-02 – ABS Hydraulic Unit D1-01 – Wiper Motor Lane |

Awsome. I know that took a lot of time to put together. Thanks from all.
Here is a pic of the emission harness that another forum member did for us. If someone could post a pic of the engine harness this thread would be complete and fantastic for all. One stop shopping. Attachment 711547 Steve |

^^ that is the engine harness.
Here's the Battery Harness. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...tions72dpi.jpg Here's the coil harness diagram: Attachment 711548 Maybe I'll do the dash in a few days. Since it's one of the last. |
Grimple1,
Check the FSM. It refers to the harness I posted as the "Emission Harness (EM)" and yours as the "Engine Harness (E)" not the battery harness. The OP covered the "Front Harness (F)". I just wanted to keep the names as they are referred to in the FSM to limit confusion. Ref page Z-7 in the 94' Wiring Diagram manual. Steve. |
Need larger version of the battery harness or whatever it is! Can't make out the text! =)
|
GREAT JOB!!!!!! this is handy!

Several people have asked for a larger version of the Engine Harness. When I originally posted it I thought I was at the file size limit but I'll see what I can do to make it easier to read. I'll post it to this thread.

I redid the lettering, hopefully it is more readable now.

Very good info, thanks for putting this up! If only I had access to this a few weeks ago when I was wiring my motor :P

Since we're not allowed to edit posts..... Here are two corrections:
Block (1) B1-10 – Condenser (NOT AC Condenser like I listed above) Block (2) E1-05 - Headlight Relay (Missing above) Sorry about that Lane |
Still curious about this particular one - auto variant - should be in sector "3".
