1985 rx7 ignition problem

1985 rx7 ignition problem
I am relatively new to the rx7, however, recently I bought an '85 rx7 GS 5 spd. with AC that has been removed.
The car will not start. When I checked for presence of spark I found that T1 and L2 are not firing. I swapped the primary leads on the ignition coils and T1 and L2 then had spark, but T2 and L1 did not. This would lead me to believe that the coils are OK. Does anybody know where I should go from here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
