*Coolant problem*

hey can someone help me pin point this problem. i have a 94 RX7. somehow the coolant light comes on/off but the resevoir is full but after i drive and let the car cool, the part where u add coolant at the engine is a lil low but not a lot. my car is overheating or anything, runs normal temp with my fans on but the coolant light comes and and goes off. i do not see any kinda leaking anywhere except for at the resevoir where the neck of the resevoir connects to the tank itself but it is only leaking cause it is too full, wat do u guys think is wrong with the car? oh and cars all stock with koyo radiator and bypassed AST(thats wat the owner b4 me said) let me know wat u guys think is wrong so i can check, thanks

Your coolant level sensor could be loose, or malfunctioing. There were a few threads about this not too long ago, try searching for them.

2 things...

1) There is a leak somewhere in the system and the pressure is gone to suck the coolant from the resevoir when it cools down. Get a pressure tester and find the leak. Could be a pin ***** size hole. Could also be the cap is faulty. Go spend 5 bucks and buy a new one.

or...

2) Exhaust gases are getting into the system via busted coolant seal. Pull the cap on the water pump and see if any bubbles are coming up when you start the car. The exhaust is pushing coolant onto the overflow and eventually making it come out the neck.

Probably just got a crack in one of the lines or the sensor is taking a crap. Both are cheap to fix..

Try searching though too for added info
