you know you don't drive your car enough when...

...you can't remember how the hell the fuel door opens!

I felt like such a dumbass today. :(

Pulled up to the pump got out and was like, "uh, yeah...how the fuck did this work?"
Popped the hatch open about 17 times before I figured it out.

Man, it was weird. Must be what Alzheimer's is like.

Don't feel too bad man, I did the same thing when I first got my FD. I've built rotary engines, piston engines, know how to tune for a lot of boost but couldn't for the life of me figure out how to open that damn fuel door.

I kept trying to follow the markings on the hinge and it points down, than finally texted the guy I got the car from and he suggested I pull the lever to the right while pressing down on it. Lol

Have no idea what you're talking about...:uhh:

My theory is that I'll know it's time to sell the car when I have to buy those shoes with the Velcro straps.

GoodfellaFD3S 02-11-17 08:24 AM

That's kind of scary actually. You feelin' ok?

Yeah, it actually WAS kind of scary and not the first time it's happened. Probably IS the onset of some sort of dementia...sigh. :(

Hey now, young whipper snapper! Those straps are pretty helpful...
:)

As long as you aren't filling your hatch with gas and putting groceries in the gas tank, you're fine

Brain Farts...

Yesterday afternoon I was out looking for some quality box-end wrenches. Last evening as I was going to bed I couldn't remember what they were called (???-end). Really annoyed me!

So don't feel bad, you're not alone...

LOL.......exactly, that's the kind of shit I do and I'm only 52. Now where are my damn glasses

PS seriously though if I ever forget how to open the fuel door on the FD it's probably time to get my head examined for realzzzz.

My favorite lines from that movie:

DK: I've already beat this piece of shit once!
Sonny Chiba: Good. Then it should be easy.

Good to know I'm not the only old guy with an fd.
