Racing Beat Dual Tip...installed last week. Entired installation took less 1 hr, fit perfectly. Very nice sound just a tad louder than stock. Definitely felt the perf gained.

It took all of 20 minutes for me to install my RB single... 35 minutes if you count the time to pull out the jack, jack stands, tools and put everything away afterwards. :dunce:

edit: BTW, here's my RB single tip.

30 minutes to pull the old system off...30 minutes to put new on. Sipping Cognac in between.

Pictures of my shiny exhaust..(Compares well to some of the other twin tips exhausts.....)
Australian made, SMB exhaust...this was the first of the 3.5" systems...
look at www.smb.net.au

Sounds incredible..quiet at idle, kinda deep though. screams at WOT in higher revs..flows increidbly well..and NO drone at highway speeds..

Comparison of the stock dump against 3.5" dump, and the stock cat against 4" metal substrate with 3.5" piping

http://img249.echo.cx/img249/8201/20...00125pv.th.jpg
Pipe diameter of standard against 3.5" . Inside of 3.5" has a bit of welding dust..the lip is also very smooth welded inside and ground smooth.

http://img183.echo.cx/img183/2547/20...00149oe.th.jpg
Its damn tight down there..steering and god knows what else in the way. And those studs are damn hard to get out! (Thankfully mine didn't bind at least)

http://img183.echo.cx/img183/9074/20...00193gf.th.jpg
Imagine trying to make this! fits very close when installed. NB: any black marks etc are just dirt..not bad welding or anything..I was too lazy to remove the buffing compound they left on.

http://img178.echo.cx/img178/9168/20...00216dg.th.jpg
Wish I could weld...sigh...

http://img91.echo.cx/img91/4638/2005...00230yl.th.jpg
Looks like a mangled mess doesnt it! Fits well...just enough clearance past steering

i also have the hks hiper.

i just wanna say, if u on a budget or just cheap, this is about the cheapest and still very good. just the cb quiet as hell. even with a dp its quiet. when u hear it it sounds good.

i only bring up value because that ebay exhaust made me cry.

This is similar to the HKS downpipe I have but it's mild steel :( . Only the RHD 7s would have clearance issues with an aftermarket DP.

Max13BREW 01-24-06 04:19 PM

Yeah...the RHD models require the squashed piece at the turbo exit..

The HKS unit is similar, however it is a 3" pipe with a 3" collector on top..

This is a 3.5" pipe with around a 4" collector on top...

I have a A`PEX-i PS Revolution, and it is a little too quiet at idle, and it doesn't really get too loud at wot either. these videos are with stock dp, and stock cat. ENJOY!

the HKS with stock cats etc was very very mellow, extremely nice tone smooth throughout the rpm band, but when you put a non-res'd dp and mp it gets pretty loud. (still with stock turbos).

It's been work very well for me

RX7JCHIII 04-03-06 01:24 PM

How loud is the greddy EVO?? I really like look of a single pipe but I dont want it so loud...I have Ntech from the turbo back 3" and it is TOO LOUD....I am going to weld in the XR1 Borla into the midpipe but want to know if I buy the Greddy EVO catback how loud it will be thanks

KMAR 04-03-06 03:07 PM

Does anyone have a problem with their HKS or Greddy mufflers dragging over stuff. I have a friend with the HKS Dragger and he always says its just that, "Super Dragger". He likes the sound though and has gone through two of them. Hence the Super Dragger II ?? I don't know why he's purchased another when He's just going to dent it again anyways. Again, Racing Beat is the one I decided on, perfect fit, sits up inside where its supposed to, does not put black soot on the paint, does not melt anything either. There is a local shop who uses a Walker Muffler and it sounds like it will rip your head off, really low and mean. Lower than the RB and stays that way through the RPM range but, too much noise inside the vehicle. I would get this one, only thing is, I like that dual tip look.

I thought I remember someone who has a LS1 swap having a custom exhaust setup with 2 RB Duals. Does anyone have any pics from the rear and under? TIA.

CantGoStraight 04-04-06 05:49 PM

No pictures for me either but then again it's just a down pipe, resonated mid pipe, (both Pettit) and racing beat dual tip cat back, looks and sounds stock (only bigger and louder under full throttle operation).

MadEoINoTaiwaN 04-04-06 07:28 PM

i don't have a car, but if i do have one i would definitely get the FUJITSUBO Power Getter. Does anyone have that exhaust on their car? i wanna see how it looks and sounds like.

thanks.

Hey, I can't find any audio clips of the Fujitsubo exhaust but I found a place that has pretty much all the other FD exhausts...

I would suggest you buy the car first before reomending what others should try on their car for you. Geeeeezzz

Ummmmmmm actually you did. Do I need to quote you again ? ? ? How can you even say you'd want that one if you've never seen it or heard it ? ? ? Not only that the post was about exhaust that you already have, not one your dreaming about ????

i have read about the exhaust....and i have seen it in pictures....but i noticed that i havent' seen anyone with the exhaust yet, so i asked if anyone has it on their car and i wanted to see what it sounds and look like. they have sound clips of the power getter on the fujitsubo site but that's not enough for me.
and yes you're right about this post..for those who have FDs...that's why i asked if anyone HAS the exhaust and can show me. because i just want to see it...is that a prob?

MadEoINoTaiwaN 04-05-06 12:12 AM

ugh nvm...not gon argue with someone who's trynna tell me what i said myself.

anyways...anyone's got any fujitsubos on their FDs?
