Atmospheric River hit us will full force yesterday, then first snow last night. We went from summer to winter in about a week this year. Caught a break in the clouds down by the Fraser River swollen by the rains. Fresh snow flurries in the distance.
Fill Slough, Richmond, B.C., where the Fraser meets the Pacific. November 6, 2022.
Finally got my 18"8 RG-Rs on the car and went looking for a spot to take some snaps. Despite the sheeting rain, came up with this spot. Pretty pleased!
Visited a locally well known tuner/restorer today and he adjusted my shut-lines to near perfection (imo). Not for the faint-of-heart to watch. In addition to adjusting the head light covers slightly, he actually wrestled the hood and manipulated the corners with his bare hands. Not a job for amateurs, obviously.
Nevermind the chrome wing mirror, I am using it for tethering my go-pro.
Organized a "ding meet" for the club today. Somehow in the course of the year I picked up 14 flaws, probably corelated to the amount of time I left the car at the shop. "Ding Guys" work miracles. He would not do the stick and pull method as my paint is now 25 years old. One dent remaining below the B Pillar where I would have had to remove the interior rear quarter panel for him to get in behind. C$340 to get my 14 imperfections sorted. Ready now for the big "Driven" car show on June 15th.
My friend recently communicated with Tom Matao about those wheels. He replied that my set is the only other set he knows about in North America. He designed the wheel, but it failed to be used as the base wheel, so it ended up in the options catalogue.

Setting sun chases the remnants of a recent "atmospheric river" as it sets between the mountain ranges on Vancouver Island where Barkley Sound nearly cuts the island in half. I-phone tolerated shooting direct into the sun, while taking the pic in Whatsapp mode softened the resolution, but allowed a wider angle shot. MAG-R wheels are back on before the "winters" make an appearance. Recently added Leg Motorsports GT-3 canards make the nose of the car look more elongated and complement the black trim of the pop-up lights (imo).
Took advantage of fresh snow on the mountains to get out to YVR for some sunset (5:30 pm) shots.
At Iona Beach (YVR) looking Southeast toward Mt. Baker in Washington. At Iona Beach looking North toward the Northshore Mountains and Cyprus Bowl Ski Area (site of 2010 Olympic mogul competition.)
