IRP also offers a new triple gauge. Theirs costs a bit more ($180) but its the best quality one that I have ever seen. Unfortunately, they are out of stock. Last I heard there might be 1 left.

JHew84 09-22-08 05:24 PM

And thus ends the insanely inflated used flyrx7 pod prices! :tonque:.

I like prosport, they seem to be really interested in putting out products that people want/need at a reasonable price.

NoPis10 09-22-08 06:42 PM

How are thier gauges??
They look almost like the Defi but are priced reasonably...

Rx72Heaven 09-22-08 06:53 PM

There good. I have 4 of them, and they look awesome, and they use the same technology as the Defi.

I just got mine from IRP. Looks pretty good. I will post pics when I get a chance - and a camera.

JHew84 09-22-08 07:45 PM

I also have some prosport gauges but haven't had a chance to use them yet. I have a few friends with them and they liked them very much (part of the reason I bought mine).

dblboinger 09-23-08 01:17 PM

Got a wed address for IRP? Can't get it to google.

if you want a gauge pod, you'll have to hit up another forum ;) I have one and it is top notch. Also, Frank has been knocking out quite a few flyrx7 pod's as of recent, but once again, you won't find them here.

Supernaut 09-23-08 02:07 PM

Ask Ihor if they have them. If im not mistaken, last I heard they had one left. I was gonna take it but you can have it instead. I think I remember them mentioning that they had a new version out or something. I could be wrong.

parid 09-23-08 02:09 PM

I have a boost and water temp gauge from them. Work great! Great value.

ToMaC 09-24-08 01:44 AM

They've got great customer service too.

Prophet7000 09-24-08 09:48 AM

Prosport says the gauge pod will fit their 60mm gauges but does anyone know if it'll fit the DEFI 60mm?

RX007CYM 09-24-08 07:38 PM

I took the plunge and bought the pod before this thread. I was a previous owner of the fly pod and while it fit perfectly, the finish really left something to be desired. My new pod arrived and it fit perfect as well, however the finish is incredible. I snapped some pics of my new pod and gauges. Prosport must have liked what I emailed them because they also have the two pics on their site! I am so happy with both my gauges and new tri-pod.

Wow... All that looks pretty impressive. Waaay cheaper than the Defi's, though I wonder about gauge/sensor accuracy. Anyone have any evidence on accuracy/precision?

Smitter 09-24-08 10:34 PM

yeah those gauges are cheap, um i mean inexpensive!

Most all companies use the same sensors/sending units, the real quality lies in the gauge itself. I personally know 3 people who own these gauges and don't have any complaints aside from the ones they brought on themselves by not wiring them correctly :tonque:.

People get hyped up about Defi's because they are so expensive, so naturally they HAVE to be better... I know plenty of people with malfunctioning Defi's, the only real difference is they are to embarrassed to admit it after spending all that money!!!! So instead of getting people complaining because their "cheap" gauge broke, you get people not complaining because they spent to much money! :tonque:.

Also PS customer service has been impeccable. I must have fat fingered my order and accidentally ordered an extra two of the most expensive gauges on my list! they refunded me the money no questions asked without a restocking fee!

Smitter 09-25-08 12:07 AM

i notice that the one oil pressure gauge they offer has a high range of 150psi.
would a rotary ever see more oil pressure then that?

staticguitar313 09-25-08 12:40 AM

youd better hope not

Smitter 09-25-08 12:30 PM

thx for the response, i have an autometer oil pressure gauge currently and its high reading is 100 psi, that can be reached @ approx. 4500rpm with a 20w50 motor oil. what would oil pressure be @ 8000rpm?

TheCrazyAZN 09-26-08 11:36 PM

And one for RHD vehicles? :D

hades 09-27-08 09:07 AM

FYI-I ordered the premium peak/warn boost and temp gauges. They forgot to include the temperature sending unit. Sucks now I have to wait till monday to call them.

Isn't the center speaker the same on both models ??

It probably is the same in terms of mounting clips, but consider what direction the gauges will be facing.. :squint:

JHew84 09-29-08 12:20 AM

Yeah I think he realizes that :tonque:... probably just gathering info to put something together for the RHD guys!

No, Defi 60mm will NOT fit. We have a unique design on our PERFORMANCE series gauges (only) where the body is stepped so it can fit in both a 60mm and 52mm hole.

RHD modes: The gauges pretty much face straight back so I think the pod would work with either model.

We will offer up one pod for 1/2 $ off for the first person who wants to try it out on a RHD. If it does not work AND you cover shipping it can be returned for a refund minus the shipping.

Supernaut 09-29-08 08:30 AM

I have water temp, oil pressure and oil temp.
I have a boost gauge on my a pillar. I also have an FC commander, which renders my water temp gauge useless :(.

Thanks Supernaut :)
I didnt know the PFC had water temp. display :) I have one brand new but havent used it yet. I'll be picking up a set of premium soon

Supernaut 09-29-08 10:29 AM

It is nice that I dont have to take my commander out but I always have it out anyway haha. If I were you, I would replace that with a wideband afr.

shmacklepap 09-29-08 10:38 AM

Ive got a PLX wideband already ;)

i support you guys and the company ... but 1/2 off and shipping charges upon return? is the company really in that tight of a financial position?

prosport Gauges 09-29-08 03:15 PM

Actually compared to last year we are up 12%

OK, we have a RHD test vehicle and will post up pictures very soon.

FD3S-K 09-29-08 04:32 PM

prosport Gauges 09-30-08 05:36 AM

Sorry no 60mm for a while but we will have a quad pod for 52mm by December.

hurleysurf24 09-30-08 12:04 PM

Smitter 09-30-08 12:37 PM

You mean Charged air or actual intake temps at the filter?

Smitter 09-30-08 05:58 PM

^^charged air, locate the temp sensor on the intake elbow. something that would monitor the temps way more acurately then the stock sensor would be ideal.

prosport Gauges 09-30-08 06:23 PM

intake temp.. Hmmm, we'll look into it.

Zoolander 09-30-08 06:56 PM

I just ordered three gauges, along with the radiator hose adapter and the oil filter adapter plate. Anyone else have used these adapters?

prosport Gauges 10-03-08 09:11 AM

Thanks for the order Zoolander. Let us know if you need any help as we offer tech support as well.

dblboinger 10-10-08 01:08 AM

Ordered on Monday, came in the mail today. Awesome! Can't wait to get it installed.
