aftermarket SMICs still being made anywhere?
Are there still any S(tock)MICs being manufactured?
seems like everything is FMIC or vmount. All the old ones (blitz, greddy, arc,...) appear to be finished. Is this the case? |

Hadn't thought about it, but PFS doesn't seem to have a site anymore either.

The owner and business were banned long ago and IIRC offer tremendously horrible customer service. A search here yields many Bad Guy threads. |

You can still purchase the GReddy and Knightsports Units. There's also a knightsports-similar smic made in Aus. They're pretty slick.
|
where for greddy?
|
Yeah, where for Greddy? I thought they were only doing FMIC and V Mounts now?
|
There are like two Greddy SMICs for sale in the 3rd gen classifieds right now. One is in like new condition. Why don't you look in there?
|
There are tons of used ones in the classified section. Why buy new? It's not a wear item.

I got the PFS that I'm going to post up eventually for sale.

All oem fitment

^What's the pressure drop? Academic anyway, as shipping would be prohibitively expensive.
|
Yeah, they're not cheap. But look at that thing. Sexy...

Wear item, no, but you never can be certain that it doesn't have bits of turbine or apex seal lodged in it, just waiting to complete their journey home...

^Where can we see test results for pressure drop?

How is the AST mounted with the KS SMIC?
Looks like it's mounted on the waterpump? It looks to include some bracketry, but you might have to get creative to make it work with your setup. It should be approachable to make this bracket and get some longer/shorter coolant lines, for the DIYer. How do you buy the ARD twin-pass IC? I can't find anything searching. I guess you have to go through THE_DOCTOR. He's not hard to find :) |

boost leak tester | eBay Instead, you'd need continuous pressurized flow through the unit, such as by hooking it up and crossing your fingers for 20k mi or so. :) |
