1993 fd3s simplified sequential

So I have just recently found out about the simplified sequential method and was wondering if I can still run it on the stock ecu?

Kind of... you have to put resistors in place of the missing solenoids. There was a website that detailed it really well. Did a quick search for it and don't see it anymore. The simplified sequential is just sequential without the emissions stuff so the stock ecu will run it just the same..... with the resistors installed

RHD or LHD?

Depending on how drastically simplified your systems are, the greater difficulty you will have to get a stock ecu to avoid "limp" mode.

Bear in mind your stock ecu is 32 years old.

How many motherboards last that long?

It may be better to avoid hunt and peck in getting your stock ecu to run simplified and invest in a Power FC (or other aftermarket ecu).

Aftermarket ecu have enough AI support now to diagnose and adapt to whatever set up you are currently stuck with.

Agreed. I’d just pony-up for a PFC and maybe tweak the base map rather than dick with resistors. Not sure if those prevent the inevitable CEL on the dash or not anyway. But it should eliminate the old 3k hesitation and you can monitor things from the commander.

I agree with everyone here. The power FC is the logical choice with the simplified. Thats what i am running and it works great!
