K2RD 1600 Secondary Install

Hello,
I am installing the new fuel rail with 1600 cc secondaries that k2rd sells, and I have a minor issue. The injectors don't seem to poke down into the manifold far enough.
Do I have to remove the plastic caps on the tip? Do I have to remove the rubber grommet and fuel atomization plate from the manifold to make it work?
One more question, the new fuel rail does not have a fuel temp sensor.... should I just leave the stock connector dangling or do I need to put a resistor or something in there to fool the computer (PowerFC) in some way?

Thanks,
Brian

If it's anything like the RP kit. You should remove the rubber grommet and the diffuser. The diffuser is to help the fuel atomize. It sits inside. Use a pick or something to pull it out. The bottom of the diffuser needs to be cut off. Only the top of it is use. Then drop the diffuser back down. The injectors should sit down better. The connector for the sensor is no longer needed so just leave it.

With the K2RD rail you have to remove both the grommet and fuel plate or the injector wont sit correct.

Yea I removed them both completely. Then used a sliver of 5/8" hose (some people use 3/8" hose but it seemed a bit small to me) and made a custom insulator to seal at the bottom of the injector to the manifold. I have done 2 of these in the last 2 weeks so pm me if you have any questions and I will send you my phone number.
