Yeah! New rtek 1.7 chip now available

I'm ordering mine now just thought I would let you guys know that their site is updated now with the new 1.7. The 1.7 has no data logging however the 1.7 has the fuel maps redone for 720 secondaries, unflood, lowers secondary cut on to 3300rpm instead of 3500 on 1.5 chip and price is 95 bucks do it yourself install or 115 to have them do it.

hondahater 10-06-04 03:41 PM

no one cares??? I bought mine :)

sub9lulu 10-06-04 03:44 PM

Makenzie71 10-06-04 03:45 PM

the 1.5 chip

Kingofl337 10-06-04 04:06 PM

They need to make a S5 N/A chip that lets us ditch the OMP!

barcode 10-06-04 04:22 PM

I want 2.0 with datalogging, I'm holding out for that.

Yes sir...

If he can disassemble that shit mazda calls code (j/k ;) ) and get rid of the MOP, and all the features in "2.0" (non-existant as far as we know) then I'll buy.

Markd01 10-06-04 04:48 PM

What is their Web Address? Thanks

damn.

Seems pretty sweet.

Now I'm not fully up to par on fuel maps.

Soooo....
Will the ECU compensate for higher boost with this map?
Like if I boost up to 12psi?it will use the injectors right?

If so this thing is a holy grail for my damn car. I can't afford a SAFC yet and want to put some 720's in.

The stock ECU will compensate for higher boost as well - even 12 psi BUT the stock car runs out of injector past 10 psi. With Rtek v1.7 you WILL have enough injector past 10 psi and likely to around 14. With the Rtek 1.7, your new limit will be the stock turbo/intercooler. The stock IC is no good past 11 psi (I believe) and the stock turbo is done at 14-15 psi (oil seals will take a dump). The Rtek 1.7 is perfect for car with 720cc injectors, a stock turbo, upgraded fuel pump, full intake/exhaust and FMIC (as I understand it).

Henrik, jump in and correct me if I'm wrong...

fastrotaries 10-06-04 05:36 PM

Man it sucks that these guys came out, after I got a haltech. Could have saved me so much wiring.

RotaryWeaponSE7EN 10-06-04 05:36 PM

Sweet...I want one.

foild 10-06-04 05:44 PM

what will this do for a NA S4?
any performance increases?
stock s4 that is... 86

sub9lulu 10-06-04 06:08 PM

... why u want one for NA s4
... u DONT need 720's 2nd injectors
lean out ur car with SAFC will get u more power

FC3S.USD 10-06-04 06:28 PM

Nice, i was waiting for the V 2.0 But I think this will do.

Its scary when i read '' Needs 720 or bigger or else engine damage will occru but I guess its mapped for that size of injector ''

So I guess i will have to get version.

I hope there will be a trade in value for the when the V 2 comes out

kd86rx7 10-06-04 07:05 PM

witht his ecu will i still need resistors for my secondaries going from high impedence to low impedence?

eric.

kd86rx7 10-06-04 07:05 PM

mods: full intake and exhaust, fmic, hybrid turbo 720cc secondaries, hks f-con with gcc and fcd, i dont need the rtek if i have the f-con with gcc right?

eric.

kd86rx7 10-06-04 07:09 PM

answered my own question: If you have an AFC, it will no longer have to trick the ECU to compensate for the larger injectors. The AFC can be used for fine tuning.

thats cool,im thinking about buying it. for my mods.

eric.

Sweet 1.7 will hold me over until 2.0 if I get my car on the road soon.

Digi7ech 10-06-04 07:17 PM

Sweet! just what i wanted to know.

So pretty much since the thing will use 720's they will work at a lower duty cycle so they don't max out for a long time unlike the 550's which end around 10psi.

BTW I have the v1.5 now and they say it's only 20bux to upgrade!! W00t!

Now I gotta get some 720's and boost!

BTW I'm assuming the fuel map is conservatively a bit rich right?
Currently I go SUPER lean right at the injector kick on (3500rpm)

JAPSPECGTUs 10-06-04 07:21 PM

This is the only time I will ever say I wish I had a S4, just for this purpose. Are they even working on a S5 version?
