At a performance standpoint, you've probably gained some weight with the amount of resin and bondo you used.
But for show, I guess its okay. Practice your glassing and resin technique better and you shouldn't need to bondo so much. Make a mold, use wax, and it'll lessen the bumps and waves. |
Yea
That is true... really they are not much heavier than they were... and yes i want to learn how to make molds...have you made them before? if so i am curious on ho i would make a mold with wax?

Thanks Classsicauto...so what kind of wax we talking like gulf wax snow board wax.... let me know thanks man... and i would just lay the fiberglass matting over the Negative... and then put my resin/hardner on it and let dry then pull apart?

Its a special wax that any Fiberglass materials supplier should carry. I have no idea what specific brands they'll have in your area, but ask for "mold release agent" or "mould release wax"
|
Along with wax you can also use special release liquids you wipe the mold with. I want to say PVA release.
Car wax also works for molds. I've used it plenty of times. |
