wth did I break?

Hey guys so I bought a t2 engine a whole ago that I'm going to swap. So I have it sitting in my garage and someone broke a part on it but I don't know what the parts called so I can buy a replacement. I would appreciate the help.

BAC Valve.

What part of the BAC is broken?

You can figure out a way of joining the two ends of the hose so it can deliver coolant to the thermovalve/thermowax unit which is the role of the metal pipe that is part of the BAC. The BAC itself should be fine.

^^^ that piece actually unscrews from the BAC. although a BAC in the classy-fieds is probably $5-10

I just bypassed that section of the coolant path, removed that little piece. Haven't noticed it missing. DD the car all winter here in the Northwest. Just ran a piece of hose from the nipple on the back of the front iron to the TB connection.

That really sucks, but yeah those are classic red flags in hindsight. New account, pushing you off-platform, mismatched payment name, all of it lines up with how these scams usually go. Don’t beat yourself up too much, they rely on urgency and catching people when they need a part fast.

Best thing now is to treat it as a lesson and tighten up future deals. Stick to protected payment methods, keep communication on-platform, and be cautious with anyone rushing the process. Most people only need to get burned once to spot it instantly next time.
