well, it she says its boosting 25 pounds.. which is a LOT. And all those parts PLUS a custom paintjob isn't cheap either. I mean, if it was a more mildy modded TII, like what we have here on the boards most of the time, I'd be less cynical. But that thing is is hooked up to the max, and she looks really young to be making that kind of money for that crap. Shit, i make 18 bucks an hour at my job and i'll still have barely enough money to do a TII swap, let alone mod the living fuck out of it.


But i'm fair too. If i'm wrong then ill sodomize myself with a sandpaper covered e-shaft.:D

No, No I wasn't an ass. I just asked her more or less how she is getting 25 PSI out of a rotary with a T04. I didn't even mention the listed times (they have to be 1/8 mile or she is really hitting the crack pipe hard) I will let you know what she says.

I think she just wanted to be like her Honda buddies.. and they don't under stand how a rotary boosts compared to a piston car. So if they are getting 23 PSi on their Honda's she must be getting 25 PSI ;) cause she is pulling faster times.

No she's lookin at the stock boost gauge in the dash which reads from -20 to +40, and she thinks it means PSI :D

Thats thing looks like shit.

Theres also no way those housings are powdercoated either. It wouldnt take that kind of heat (from what I know.)

The externals of a rotary dont get all that hot, in comparison with the internals or exhaust. Remember that the centralized oil flow does 2/3 of the cooling in a rotary, and since coolant temps never (should) rise above about 210*F, neither should the greatest part of the external surface area of the engine. In fact, Half of the engine paint I use for rebuilds is not rated as engine or high-heat paint, but nevertheless holds up pretty well, at least over the course of the 2 years Ive been using it...

Hm, i thought rotor housings temps got a little higher than that.
