I think my 7 is cursed cuz breaking a NA driveshaft with a NA motor should just not happen.

new clutch (current one is burnt)
new coolant hose (coolant leak)
new oil pan gasket (oil leak)
new brake pads
suspension bushings are starting to crack

less minor stuff i need to do is
regrease moonroof
regrease power window tracks
new antennae
ALL speakers are blown haha
paint stripper got on my car (long story, and it was family so im not that pissed) so i need to get it taken care of cuz its rusting in a 1 inch by 1 inch spot, yes i know its not that bad but i need a new paint job period, cuz the last guy probably paid only $500 for his and its peeling
tires are almost used up


Overall, i got pretty lucky. I passed smog, have AC, have powersteering it runs and idles fine, and i'm just waiting for my next paycheck to put in a new flywheel and clutch.

Lets see...

my 88 na needs:

Motor mounts
trans mounts
front and rear diff mounts
good condition front subframe (current subframe has a LCA mount thats bent)
new bushings (everywhere....)
new shocks/struts/springs
wider wheels
slotted rotors/better pads
new drivers seat
new radio surround blank
remove heater controls
find out why the heater is leaking rain water
replace rear diff with a LSD unit (its on teh garage floor right now...)
replace both bumpers
fab a new undertray/splitter for the front
have a cage fabbed in
have the area from teh seats back re-upholstered
rebuild/port motor
get a set of EFI ITB's and an EMS...
have dents pulled and body repainted
thats the short list of things I want/need to do...

rx7 vert with a turbo II swap, everytime I fix something something else goes. and behind everything thats broken the previous owner f'ed with the wires. although I knew what I was getting into when i bought it, it will be nice inabout a year.

no a/c... has leak somewhere wont hold charge
no heater, it started spewing coolant into the passenger side one cold day lol (cold for me)
no speedo cable
had coolant leak and overheating problem
im leaving stuff out.....
then right when i save up enuff to paint it and get some rims, it gets stolen and ass fucked.
stole my radio, hatch, fmic, boost guage, seat covers!, riped my center ac nozzles from the dash, broke my instrument cluster bezzle in half...

after racing at the track a couple times coming off the line super hard cuz im so pissed off now my gears come in hard lol feels like i got a shift kit lmao. gotta finess my shifting to keep it smooth. lol

'86 Sport
-Unidentified squeak from passenger side rear
-Brake pedal pressure is a bit on the low side, pedal needs to be pumped a bit before each drive
-No radio, looks like someone grabbed the radio harness and attacked it with a scalpel
-Most of the interior is out and I'm too lazy to take all the tools and parts out of the hatch to re-install said interior
-Hole in the floor under driver seat (therefore the seat is only held in by 3 bolts
-Passenger seat only kind of bolted in
-Gas leak from my ghetto-fabulous fuel line repair (the brass connector thing was a bit too small, so I cranked down on the hose clamps hoping it would be okay... it's not)
-I think my oil pan may be leaking, there's a small spot under the car from that area
-Diff fluid may also be leaking
-Shifter return spring is broken (doesn't return to center by itself)
-Rocker panels on both sides are swiss cheese
-Driver side quarter panel wheel arch is mostly bondo and foam
-A ton of rusted bolts broken off in their holes
-I accidentally ripped the connector off of the wire that the horn button connects to
-Cracked clock surround, center console surround is in pieces, various other interior plastics are broken
-Too lazy to put driver's side door panel back on
-No outside door handle on driver's side (need to reach into the hole and manually operate the rod that the door handle moves)
-Smokes alot coming down from redline
-Took front bumper off for some reason, haven't put it back on yet (driving around without it makes me feel like a BAMF :lol: )
-Primer spots all over the car
-Rear bumper sags in the middle
-Exhaust leak at y-pipe
-Big dent in roof somehow
-Broken headlight lens (looks like it was shot out with a BB gun)

-It's 4-lug with the shittiest brakes FCs came with
-Looks like someone ran off the road into sand or something, the front end is pushed in a bit on the passenger side. I already took the front bumper off and pulled it back a little bit, but it's still a little misaligned. But taking the front end apart is a bitch and I don't feel like doing it.

-diff leak
-trans leak
-oil leak
-busted thermostat housing...that one was my fault
-horrible paint
-water gets in hatch because of a chip in the taillight
-one headlight motor is slower than the other so they raise funny/lopsided
-electric antenna is physically broken
-washer fluid jets do not work
-intermittent wipers do not work
-needs new brake pads
-driver's door speaker cover is torn off
-OEM rims are beat up and chipped (PO liked to grind curbs it looks like)
-TPS issues
-sunroof needs a nudge opening and closing
-annoying rattle from cat/presilencers

On the upside, the engine runs great (I am now cursed) and it's fun as fuck to drive.
