If it is a T4 GT35R yes you can use the HKS cast manifold, there is an FC one and an FD one, the FD one will make the turbo hit the lim so you have to get the fc one.

If you multiply the most air the turbo can flow per minute, say 62 lbs, times 6 and 2/3rds, you can get a rough estimate on how much power you should be able to make, at least with a streetport.

Ducktape is running a bridgeport with a 62-1 non divided .96AR making over 400WHP. On a HKS cast manifold. Full boost by 3500 or 3700 rpms, boost comes quicker on a bridge than a streetport though.

Whoa, be careful what you claim...
Can you prove this?

I honestly have no idea what turbo to go with, what intercooler etc so I need some suggestions. I am dropping a S4 TII engine into my '89 GXL. The car has a TII drivetrain from the flywheel back so that part is covered. I have a S4 TII bare bones block. I have the manifolds and throttle body. So If I wanted to make 400 hp at the wheels and not have a total piece of shit of a car what would be the best way to go? I am going standalone by the way.

Is the engine ported?

You should look into the A-spec GT3574 kit. It's very well priced and is a proven performer. Easy 400rwhp turbo. Those that have purchased it have raved about it. If you are on a budget it is a great option.

Corksport is now making an FC FMIC kit. You should look into that as well.

As for EMS, do you plan on learning to tune it yourself? If not then I would suggest contacting a local tuner and finding out what they are most familiar with and going with that.

Oh man, do we really want to chew this one again? I'm not that hungry :)

My suggestion to the OP: (this setup will meet your power goals and be very streetable. Dunno what else you're looking for)

-GT35R
-Greddy Cast mani.
-Tial 46mm gate (adaptor/extender plate required for use with cast mani.)
-Custom front mount (you could go with a kit, but custom is cheaper and can be made to work better with your exact setup bumper/battery location wise etc.)
-3" exhaust
-Haltech (E6K, E6X, E8 etc....find what fits your budget needs....also available used)

Other options such as EBC, AI, etc are just that - options. But to reach your power goals you'll need at least 15psi out of that turbo.

I've got someone who's local and can do the tuning. Thats the only part I haven't ever really done. My biggest concern is that I don't want the thing to be put together and find out I got a piece of shit part and learn the hard way. Also I was planning on running 4 720cc injectors unless running 1066 secondaries would be more appropriate. Can I use stock fuel rails in this case?
